Someone commented that you should never power up your drone with props on on the workbench and they're absolutely right. TAKE YOUR PROPS OFF FIRST! If you were the guy that commented, I did NOT mean to delete your comment - I was actually trying to pin it and clicked the wrong thing lol..
Thats a whole lot of nice features on the charger. Great review Nurk 👏
I was looking for a new charger and this one checks all my requirements, thanks for the review! I ‘m going to buy this one
perfect timing! mine showed up yesterday!
Awesome video! I never thought about using the power supply mode for components! I have a separate power supply for that but it takes up space on my bench! Now I'm just gonna use that feature and wire up some alligator clips! Thanks for the insight!
Wow the psu option sold me, thanks for the review! 🤙
What a great charger with so many kool features. I love it!
Love your vids keep it up bro!!!
For the external discharge mode, i have good experience wiring up a 2S2P set of 12v 55w car headlamp bulbs which can discharge up to 200watts, or maybe even wire up a 3S3P car headlamp to max out the charger at 325watts per channel.
Great vid mate 😍
Dude whaat that power supply setting is pretty slick! Would be a great charger for the bench
That was a great review. I have the other D6 like you got but this one has way more useful functions.
Great review. Really nice charger. 👍🤓
I have two of those chargers . They are great . Miss the built in wireless phone charger though!
Great review, Paul! 😃
Thanks for the video, this showed me I needed to look into chargers again and research my next charger upgrade. This one is near the top of the list, and after digging some Found a pretty simple workaround for the ext discharge limitation you mentioned to set output voltage, just use the PSU feature and set minimal input voltage should yield similar results and a different use case then for the PSU feature which is nice. I have been using ISDT now for a few years have a few and yes the 12v minimal on some of the isdt is annoying when using a 12v psu and it dips the T8 is bad for this. but seems the newer models now offer a lower minimal of 10v or even lower on some which. also, they do now offer the digital psu out as well offered on the New Q and others, so seems to become an industry norm which is cool. But does now seem we are in the clone battle for charges and Tookitrc, hota/holybro, Ultra power(Up), all seem to have very similar specs and designs, with isdt mixed in there too. I did find it funny the things you did not like about this new Hota version are kinda taken care of in the Ultra power d6Plus version that seems to be more of a direct upgrade from the Older D6 pro. The ultra power d6 Plus variant, still includes the control wheels not push button, also wireless phone charging, and is in the Pro style form factor like the previous d6 duo pro, but also adds server and Motor testing but this model does seem to cost a little more and have a slightly different UI. One other difference I can find between the Hota and UP is the Hota also states it will provide Bluetooth app support in the future someday which is nice. The UP version does not seem to mention that at all. Isdt seems to have a few offering sorta like this but not to the same level yet, the D1 is similar but provides fewer watts, The New K2 looks to be more comparable but is not out yet, and no set price as of now. Currently, now I am trying to decide between the UP 6plus, Hota 6 plus, or stick with ISDT and get a new k2 or D1. P30- outside darkhorse. I did grab a cheap ISDT q6 nano for $29, for now, to get the psu functionality until I can decide. Either way, thank you again for sharing and showing chargers have now evolved again.
Thanks Nurk for this awesome video ! Just discovered a lot about my charger ! Could you recommend a link on how to build an easy discharger device I could plug to the D6+ please ? Cheers mate :)
I literally just ordered the D6 pro while it was on sale... if I don't really care too much about the extra AC power( I figure I only need 200w now and if I need more, I can get a dc power supply) is there any reason to return it and buy the d6+? Thanks
not even half of the video watched and already got my orderconfirmation xD like all these features :) thanks
hi, thanks for the great review, just a weired question, since the D6+ can also operate as bench powersupply with 1-28V output, could both outputs put together in series to get up to 58V?
