It really doesn't get easier or more realistic than this. Making these miniature trees was very easy and relaxing, sort of like arranging flowers. I feel zen as hell right now.
These trees would look fantastic in your dollhouse, a Christmas village, Christmas or winter decor, or as terrain in games like Dungeons & Dragons.
This is the best source for the moss. It's not only from a small business, but it's the best quality I've seen. The color and level of dryness is perfect.

Some of my favorite things:
Paper fasteners & 1/8" hole punch
amzn.to/3O5nYI6
2 oz bottle of Diamond Glaze
amzn.to/3zmMLR1
8 oz bottle of Diamond Glaze
amzn.to/3zpiMbm
Heat gun- I use mine to quickly dry paint, soften the glue to dismantle furniture and quickly cure polymer clay without an oven. Gets a lot hotter than a hair dryer.

Craft heat gun that doesn't get as hot as mine

I have lots of projects planned ranging from scratch made accessories, abandoned miniatures, furniture makeovers, accessories, kits and Dollhouse Miniatures in multiple scales. I'm also working on a large Harry Potter build in 1" scale.

Thank you so much, I wish I had known that while I was there, I would have purchased some. Thanx bunches for the link. It's the only kind of Christmas tree I am stuck on making. I first saw this idea back in the beginning of making miniatures. I'm glad you did it as well, your trees and technique look more simple than the tutorial I saw, and I would choose to add a real tree trunk as well. It was great to see this💖. It's the only reason I didn't join in with our Tiny Friends for the Christmas Tree Collab, I didn't have the Lycopodium 😉😆🥰
This store is amazing! If anyone lives near NH, it’s absolutely worth checking out.
Brilliant! You're right, this is the best looking miniature pine tree/Christmas tree on UA-cam
Thanks so much 😊
This is the single most helpful tutorial I have found this year.
Oh yeah! That's awesome to hear! 🏆
So perfect you can almost smell the forest.
It would be really fun to hide one of those evergreen scented sticks inside of the tree. People would be scratching their heads.
It came out so perfect!🎄 I have some of that moss but I never knew what it was called. Thank you for giving me a name so I can get more!
You are so welcome! It's also called Princess Pine and a couple other nicknames.
Oh wow, I had no idea this was a type of moss! My dad always called it princess pine & we'd make Christmas decorations out of it 😄
It is also called Princess Pine! Great name
I just love your delivery style. Thanks for sharing these sweet little trees.
Thank you so much!
Your tree looks so realistic. I will try to make one you make it look so easy. Great job.
Thanks so much 😊 It really is that easy. I still have moss leftover as well.
These are the most realistic trees I’ve ever seen!!! Beautiful 😊😊😊
Thank you! I'm playing around with changing the color and adding snow.
@@queencityminis you are welcome 🤗
Love the project 😊😊😊
These little trees are adorable! Thanks for sharing this technique!
You're welcome! I'm working on changing the color and adding faux snow.
This is definitely a “game changer” for making scaled trees. The moss looks so much like actual pine! Can’t wait to see you add snow to it. Amazing work as always 🌲 🌲 🌲
I added the snow tonight and it looks AMAZING! I cannot overstate how incredible it looks. I flocked the large tree. The smaller tree I spray painted a lighter shade of green. So excited to share the results Saturday!
Beautiful tree for a mini village 👏👏
Can you even imagine replacing the bottle brush trees in a Christmas village with these beauties? I'll be experimenting with adding flocking to make them look like they have snow on them.
Very realistic looking mini pine. 🌲👍
Thank you very much!
Those tree have a really great shape !
Thank you! They come together so easily. So relaxing, too.
Guess I'll be foraging princess pine next time I go walking in the woods.
Good luck! That sounds like fun.
These are beautiful and so natural-looking. (Any time I've ever had a live tree for Christmas, there's always a side that goes toward the wall LOL) I like your techniques. Thanks!
Absolutely! Most of my miniatures have a "good side" for sure. These trees actually look good 360°>
Oh, & thanks alot Shyra - Im supposed to be cleaning my house, but..... spent 2 hours on that website link u put on this vid! They have 8790 items! I made it to 2000. 6790 for ANOTHER day. Ha. Wish u had a You Tube blog, where we could all chat about miniatures, tecniques, cool places to buy, bla bla. I dont use other fbook, instasites. Just prefer good old You Tube. 🙂
Earth & Tree Miniatures is the best dollhouse store in the whole wide world!

@@queencityminisok thanks. I will get someone to help me figure out how to do it. (Someone more tech savvy than moi ) 😅
Game changer! Thank you. This is awesome.
You're welcome! Game changer is right. I love these.
Beautiful attention to detail. ❤🌲🎄🌲🎄
Thank you! 😊
So realistic awesome
So satisfying! My first ever video was "realistic" trees using moss. In retrospect, they're not very good. These are great.
Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊
Wow ! They looked so realistic.. love your talent❤
Thank you! 🤗
This is such a nice looking tree.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
🎁🕯🌟🎄👼🏻🎶📯

This is the most realistic mini Christmas tree I've seen. Great job. I've got to get my hands on that moss. Thank you so much for sharing and Happy Holidays! xx
Thank you! I left a link in the description.
Love those!! They look so easy to do. Hope to try them. Thanks for sharing. 😊
They are! Not only is it easy, but I found it to be really fun and relaxing.

Can't wait! 😄@@queencityminis
Great project. Thanks
Thank you 😊
Wow, this was great!!! Beautiful!!!
Thank you so much ☺️
Cute!
Thank you 😊
I have been looking for Lycopodium since 2014 to create a Christmas tree. This is why I haven't made one yet because I had my mind stuck on only a Lycopodium tree. It's harder to find now, I should of purchased back then when it was easier to find. It's the most realistic material for a Miniature Christmas tree. It's lovely! 🥰🎄
I pinned a comment with a link to buy the moss and left the link in the description. Earth & Tree Miniatures sells it, of course!
Holy smokes, these trees look realistic! They are awesome.❤🎄❤🎄
Thanks so much 😊
They are beautiful!
Thank you!
You are welcome 😊
These tree's are so pretty 🎄 I need to get some of this moss. Thanks for sharing. 🎄
You should! I left a link in the description.
Thank you so much 🎄🙂
Sweet 🍭 & looks EZ.
It is! I had to force myself to stop making trees so I'd have time to make the video. They're easy and fun.
These are awesome! Thanks for sharing!
You are so welcome!
I love these! So realistic and cute.
Hubby and I just got home from a miniature train show. This is exactly what I need for the landscaping. Im so happy you shared this!❤
That is awesome! This will be perfect! Have fun 😊
I can’t even stand it. Nailed it.
Yay! Thank you! These turned out better than I hoped.
I’ve been looking for a way to do more realistic pine trees. Never seen the lycopodium moss before but it looks so good. I will definitely be doing this.
Go for it! I did think about just stuffing a bottle brush tree with the moss, but I think it would actually take more time and you would need to have bottle brush trees to work from. This method is really cheap, easy and fun.
Brilliant!
Thank you 😊
Well done!
Thank you so much 😊
Beautiful! Thank you for the link I’ve been trying to find this moss with little luck.
You are so welcome! I also searched the internet and couldn't find preserved Moss that looks like this. The Masai was finding was either meant as a supplement to eat or to grow a plant, but not for crafting.
I have looked everywhere for this kind of moss because it looks perfect, I havent looked in the garden, but will, maybe it doesn't grow in Europe or something? I love the look it gives those trees! Oh no, its on a list as an endangered species here in the UK because farming etc has caused it to decline to the point of being endangered.
Oh no! That's wild. It's easily accessible to me since I live near the dollhouse store that sells it.
I can’t believe this hahahaa I just got this moss today from that store to make a tree 😂
That's amazing! What a coincidence 😆 Is this the technique you were planning to do?
Was definitely gonna go the route of the bigger tree but as always you blew me away with your innovative ideas! your technique of making circle patterns to aid in the conical shape! (I was gonna use wood glue for the whole thing but hot glue for the base is much smarter haha) thank you for affirming that I ended up picking the right stuff!
What lovely lush looking trees. The lycopodium moss that I've had in the past is quite curvy and twisty branches (I probably just ended up with the cheap and nasty bits because I didn't pay much for it lol) but the fronds (is that the right name??? or the branches??) that you use were absolutely perfect for the trees!
Earth & Tree Miniatures has the best Lycopodium moss! Very few of the branches were twisty.
👍👍👍
Thank you 😊
Thanks for sharing this tutorial! I’ve never heard of this moss before. I wonder if it could also be used to make shrubs? (bushes)
Absolutely! I hadn't even thought that. What a great idea. You could landscape around your dollhouse with this for sure.
Ooh yeah great idea!
Love it! Thnx for the inspo & also thnx so much for sharing the link. I too have had trouble finding this before. Was one 5oz bag enough for what u made? Or did u get more than one bag? Btw, your tutorials are very helpful..thnx:)
I forgot to show how much boss I had left over. I'll drop a photo in my community tab. Even with making a very big tree and a smaller tree, I still have multiple branches of leftover moss.
@@queencityminis Ok thnx again:)
Did you change the picture of the video ? I really like the other one ! It was minimalist and simple !
I did! You caught me. Making thumbnail photos is my least favorite part. I can never tell if they're any good. I changed it back.
@@queencityminis I really prefer this one ! It catches the eye and attention !
is it moss ? they have beautiful form .
Yes! It's called Lycopodium moss
Wowza ,this is a fabulous way of making a tree I need some of this moss I never new it exists.truly wonderful trees and so realistic.🤩🤩🫶🏻😍
It's also called Princess Pine. This moss is amazing!
