I'm 95. Rebuilt my car engine at 15. (32 Dodge) Today, one has to be an airlines pilot just to drive a car. Lifted the hood of a new car recently and it nearly scared me to death.
oh excellent! As was obvious with their booth a the show, making a huge push here in Japan- but haven't seen one on the roads of Tokyo- and I'm on the roads daily.
i have seen BYD on the road a few times during my visit last month driving around Tokyo. I don't see any Hyundai or KIA on the road even they are trying hard to to promote their EVs in Autobacs.@@PetervonGommJAPAN
This was so good. so many nice cars and the bikes ! I actually watched this video cause of a reel on fb that showed the subaru concept flying car. And i come here and u guys only have one quicky shot lmao. But i watched the qhole thing. Nice shots and transitions.maybe since u already use lavalier u can edit the ambient audio out and add a dope copyright free track and just record yourself in the spot or afterwards to compliment with info.cause sometimes the shots were great but there was a detail or two that i was like "what is this or what im i looking at". I dunno a lil suggestion. ❤.
Wow..That was truly amazing! Thank you for covering it! Let’s see..favorite? I’ll take the yellow and black , bumble bee Lamborghini;-) That’s entirely awesome!!⭐️⭐️⭐️🤟😊
Great rides , most of us probably couldn’t afford of those but it’s always great to see beautiful cars and motorcycles😎Thank you for sharing this show Peter🙂👍!!!
That Mazda RF almost looks like a throwback to their original RX-7. A good friend of mine used to own a bright red RX-7, we had some fun times in that car 😂🏎
Personally I don’t really see any similarities between the RF and the first gen RX-7 but as someone who owned a 3rd gen RX-7 for over 20 years I would say that this generation was definitely the inspiration for the Iconic SP - although it also seems to take some styling cues from the Lotus Elise.
Glad to see such a slice of peaceful life. Thanks, Peter! Don't forget to show your appreciation to your military, guys! These men and women are those who make this happen indeed. You can't make amazing vehicles when your cities are under permanent rocket shellings. Stay safe and take care, everyone!
15:02 Not so fast, Sir PvG, the Honda Prelude Concept is not an EV, therefore it's a Hybrid... And at 26:06, that's the Toyota Land Cruiser Se Concept which is an EV Land Cruiser sit on a unibody platform rather than the ones found in the Land Cruiser 300, Land Cruiser 250/Prado, and the Land Cruiser 70, of those three are truck-based. In addition, the second-generation C-HR which is revealed several months ago, will may be sold exclusively in Europe, and it is no longer built in Japan, it will be built in Turkey...
Nice video. Tomika is a rival to Matchbox cars. Different company. Love to see the Prelude enter production again. Only it looks abit like a 350Z. I wish you had of filmed the back of it etc.
Lots of interesting designs. The BMW's and the Mazada Iconic caught my eye. Was the working title for that Suzuki Hustler the Flynt? 🤔😂 I noticed the 2023 Tokyo Motorcycle video is at almost 1.8 Million views! Enjoyed this Peter, thanks for taking us along! 👍
I love the positivity in how you conduct your business. Maybe, it is my perception of Mercedes and BMW vehicles. The two (2) aforesaid manufacturers' vehicles are just lackluster compared to the settings of vehicles. Moreover, Mercedes and BMW, vehicles look dated, and are not adding to the future of the vehicles market, in fact, they detract from moving their product into the future, as all other manufacturers seem to be making leaps and bounds while keeping pricing to the end users in check. Mercedes and BMW have overpriced vehicles, compared to ("all") other companies. Lastly, all manufacturers seem to be offering a [premium vehicle] in every brand's lineup. Therefore, Mercedes and BMW vehicles are not delivering a more premium vehicle, in fact, they fall in line with all other manufacturers, so these two companies need to start making an [ULTRA PREMIUM] lineup, or bring their pricing in line, or they will continue to lose market share.
Greetings PVG, you or your camera team have shot some amazing videos footage of the Japan Mobility Show, the view is so clear, it’s amazing PVG. Love the cars and ladies. PVG, you have out done yourself. Thanks so much for sharing.
Some great surprises from the automakers. Wasn't that Yamaha Motoroid in the Terminator Salvation movie? 😁 Did I see an homage/re-imagining of the Honda City and a new Motocompo? 🙂
Wow, a flying drone that you don't need a license. Japan is way ahead. Although most vehicles are out of range, the new colors are very inviting to add on my wish list. Wonderful review. Thanks for your hard work.
What would you need a license for? When the drone is autonomous. Automatically controlled and navigated by GPS. I guess you don't think they will let you pilot a flying machine the size of a helicopter without a pilot's license? :D
Hi Peter! Great video, definitely watching this a few times to digest all the info! Off topic question. Did you narrate the the onsite introduction video for the Fukushima nuclear power plant visitor centre? Was watching Kyle Hill's video on Fukushima water and noticed the narrator sounds quite similar to the best narrator in Japan.
Another great video Peter. The Motoroid motorcycle was weird and cool at the same time. I would love to see people's reaction when you stop at a red light and never have to put your feet on the ground.
The Hustler is actually pretty popular in Japan. Did anyone catch the single frame of the couple? Who are they? I assume they are hustlers of some type.

That Mazda Iconic blows my mind. Again, after the RX.

The red Mazda.

ALL I CAN SAY AMAZING,INCREDIBLE THE ART OF CHINA &JAPAN AUTOMOTIVE 👌

That Mazda RF almost looks like a throwback to their original RX-7. A good friend of mine used to own a bright red RX-7, we had some fun times in that car 😂🏎
A friend's dad had an RX-7 when we were in high school. Went out cruising in it one Saturday night when dad was away- fun PEPPY car!

HA! Yeah but Flynt just doesn't have the same pizazz!
Takes me back. My first motorbike was a 1970 Suzuki Hustler - 250cc two stroke.

Great you are!
japan must remain at the pinnacle of mobility instead of china
The Tomica GR86 seems to be a reasonable choice
