Not so easy on a 2006 c70, plastic become brittle and when you try to pop off the cover the plastic housing is gonna Crack. Just replace the whole unit, you'll be glad you did. Any you do not need to remove motor mount, yeah the air box is tight but totally doable to remove

In an attempt to help the PCV system ad prevent clogging, is it a good idea to install an oil catch can somewhere in the system? If so I'd assume it'd be right before the breather box to prevent it from getting clogged up
After watching this video. Y'd think they would answer you. And just say yes it can be done. And then do a video on the oil catch can. Who knows they might even get a few $$$$ more. Good question sir 🇬🇧👍🏿🏁

The XR5 Turbo is known as ST here in Europe but I’m sure something will come up in your search. The 8 digit number is the OEM part code. Don’t drive your car until this is fixed though dude..
not that handy with it in place , but yes it can be done . I just moved the air box over and that left room , the diaphragm alone did not fix my problem so fitted an oem filter housing complete took me about two hours with an oil change and a cup of tea in the time scale too .

Today I replaced that diaphragm but it didn't help. Still noise is there. Probably need to change entire PCV box.
Sorry for my dumb question, I was looking at the part number it says it only fits on Petrol engine and not Diesel compatible. Would it fit anyway?

It is easy to replace it once you have the whole part on your hands but don't know where it is located or how to reach it to have access..

Does this cure high crank case pressure ? I removed that cover and the diaphragm is good but it’s pushing oil out the oil fill cap when I drive it .
You would need to replace the entire breather box in this case, as that is a sign of a blockage

Not if the cap is bonded in place like mine was which was purchased new in 2016. Took the lip off along with the cap.
This piece gets screwed up pretty easy... I just replaced my diapraghm like one week ago, lets see how much time does it take to tear again
Why not use the same pcv valve and direct the oil vapor discharge outside?

U don't have to remove the airbox, but removing it makes things a lot easier.
What about the moving the engine forward part?
Impossible without removing airbox. It's like changing a wheel hub with removing the wheel
