Kuya not sure if it's your first time but when you travel via air, always anticipate delayed flight specially traveling international. Bcoz even domestic flight in USA or MNL you'll experience it too. What is important is you're safe, you can recover from stress and exhaustion but you can never replace life.
Hmm. makes me want to stick with Philippine airlines and just use southwest to get to LAX. At least they have multiple flight options available if there is delay or cancelation. Ill book with PAL.
yes, i think that is what i'll do next time too. i've done it before: the only hassle is the need to re-check in, but i think the more you can lessen the number of flights/connections, the better.
@@KissMyMike_Official I've used PAL since 2007 and they have been late one time in Manila. almost 2 hours late leaving. Made me miss my connecting flight in LA. Spent all night in LAX waiting for the 1st southwest flight at 6am next day. learned my lesson to leave plently of time between flight times. So far that has worked out.
I feel sorry for you that you had to go through that hassle with United Airlines. In the future, my recommendation would be to book your flight from Raleigh to San Francisco at least 6 hours ahead of time, so you can easily make your connecting flight to Manila.
Bummer dude! I travel international and I can admit that United is not the best, but they did get you there. It sucks, but try and have a back-up plan for delays. nine hours in SFO, go and pay for a United club pass, go into the city and see some sights. I hope your trip was fun.
The next time you want to avoid hassles, consider purchasing your aircraft. Most airlines face similar issues regularly, and we just have to deal with them. Also, I think I've lost track of how many times you've said the word "basically." Why not try speaking in Tagalog instead?
i know most airlines face similar issues but as consumers, we need to make companies more accountable to provide the products/services that we actually paid for. on this particular case, i was open to other options. it was the lack of support that bothered me the most. they should have at least tried to come up with something close enough to what i paid for. in fact, i never received any compensation whatsoever. imagine if you buy a product or service and you didn't get the value of what you paid for. would that be right? on a normal day, i would be okay with dealing with flight delays. however, my biggest pressure was because i was trying to arrive on time for my dad's 75th birthday.
Can't. The flights are booked together. I guess you can pay for different flights but that usually costs more and they don't transfer your bags for you to the international flight.

thank you!
Yikes! What an adventure.

No thanks. i dont want to get robbed or step on feces.
hmm, you did not plan very well. should have built in more time in case of delays
so true, but i only have a few days off from work.

Kind of just sounds like nothing would have made you happy unless you got your original plans fixed.
I was trying to arrive on time for my dad's 75th birthday.
Delays happen, and if were you I would have left Raleigh a day or 2 earlier.

Why didn't you ask to be rebooked on another carrier? Your seemingly stubborn insistence on remaining on United worked against you.
i was open to other options even with another carrier. i was not being stubborn. i was just trying to arrive on time for my dad's 75th birthday.
