You can maybe reinforce the middle of the butterfly with some ribbon or something on the inside? The ribbon might support the weight of inner rhinestones for the cut outs? Don't know if it would work. That middle might not hold up well washing without reinforcement since its on the bias possibly? Really neat project though. :)
