Hi ! I am interested in sitting the bar exam in NY. However I completed my legal education in civil law country. Now I consider taking LLM in UK. Do you happen to know whether LLM in UK will fulfil the same requirements like the LLM in USA (to take the exam in USA) ? Could you tell me. sth about what you did to take the bar exam, how did you meet the requirements? You said you did Master degree in UK- does it mean that one year of master in UK was enough to be admitted to sit the bar exam in NY?
Hi I think an LLM alone is not enough if you don’t have a LLB degree in a common law country. But you should submit online evaluation form to the NY authority to confirm!
Monolidtreasure I do read articles and news from the Lawyers and other online resources from time to time. Do try to read around if you wanna know more about the legal industry!

However, I would love if you could advise me on different things to do this year so that I can be successful next year while applying for VS and TC as being an international and a non-law student this would be my only chance at it. Instead of GDL, why not try the QLTS route to qualifying in England and Wales.
I secured the TC before I passed the NY bar and my firm prefers me doing the traditional TC route!
