I'm going to have to buy one of those. I made a homemade one from scrap wood and hardware cloth but it's a pain to use. Yours looks way more convenient. By the way, the blue containers next to your feet are beautiful. 😀
Dawn Pleasant, thank you! I love those blue pot covers! I change what plants are in them all the time as I rotate, and they are sitting there waiting to be wiped down and have new plants loaded up! I found them at Ross for only a few $ and have loved them so much! 💗
Susan Craven, it really depends on the size, age, and root development sometimes. But if they are several years old like most of the ones you can buy somewhere from what I’ve researched/experienced 1/8 inch size particles is really great. But 1/4 inch is a size I really like too. And like I said in the video I use the sizes all mixed together with great success most of the time. But if you want the best size possible I would probably choose the 1/8 inch if it was me! 💗
Ashley, thank you so much for this video. Where did you get your sifter? I have fallen in love with succulents, and live in north idaho. Sounds like I should use pumice
I'm wondering what the largest size could be used for? Whenever I sift my different soil mediums (usually things like pumice, granite, turface, bark, and coconut fibre), I'm left with tons of oversized particles and since I only have small succulents and cacti, I have no idea what to do with the bucket of little boulders left over! I'd appreciate and helpful advice--Thanks!
taxme7, I’m the description box of this video you can find a link to our Facebook group if you have that you can absolutely share a photo there! Or there is also my handle for Instagram and garden tags if you are a part of either of those you can post a photo and tag me! 💗

You could use them either on top of the soil as cover/decoration or at the bottom of the pot for extra drainage.
What’s best for Lithops
i have a sad succulent and would like to seek your advice. May I know whether there is any link where I can post my question?
