very impressive!! so fun to watch your attention to detail. I am building my very first truck which is the grand hauler. I am 65 and retired and I look forward to once my truck is complete to build a custom flatbed trailer. I was an aircraft sheet metal mechanic for many years so I hope I can put my skills to use building a trailer for my truck. Your videos have really helped me a lot. thanks for sharing!! I just bought a bearing kit and a radio from Hobby Concepts.

You've just reminded me of a skill I used for 30 years in Model Railroading... But practically forgot about.
Weathering!!! Why not? Works in 1/87th Scale, why not 1/10-1/14th Scales? 😉
I've never used Tamiya Line Paint before. Appears to be an excellent way of highlighting and drawing out details, without being obnoxiously over weathered.
(Believe me, I've known some Model Railroaders - take a 2 year old Boxcar {in Scale terms}, and make it LOOK like it's a 1922 Model!!!)😳
    Many times, subtle is better.
This Series has CONVINCED me to Scratchbuild a Flatbed Trailer!!! Nothing that elaborate. I'm an Old Fart RC Guy, but only starting on my FIRST 1/14th Scale Rig. 😲
My sights are high - Cletus Snow's Kenworth and Trailer!! 😳😁 YOUR Video Series on that was the spark!
But the Grandbabies heard "RC Semi" and are now BEGGING for rides.
I can't say No, but they're NOT crawling onto my potentially $500.00 Bandit Trailer either!!
But maybe now I can fabricate some sort of Flatbed, with little Plastic Seat, that I can tow them around on??
Seems feasible. Been doing a LOT of Shopping over the past Decade, dreaming of finally getting into the upper air of 1/14th Scale Semis....
    NOW in a word - Inheritance!!!!! 💰💲💲💰
GOT my Grand Hauler, getting at least ONE Beier System from you, probably the Box Trailer (which I've ALREADY ordered the Cletus Snow Trailer Wrap from England). And probably a Flatbed Tamiya Trailer or two, just to see what idea pops up!! 😉
.... And building a "Kiddy Trailer" for the under 5 yrs. Old crowd, from trips to Lowe's, Home Depot, and a lot of Hex Screws!!
And for a wider stance, I found out that Trailer Axles come in two main widths - 120mm (US Dualies) and 140mm (European Super Singles).
The 140mm Axles with Dualies should give a safer Ride for the Kids. And the Axle Housings are Aluminum - not Plastic.
Oh geez!!! I'm babbling. Sorry! Everything's happening so fast and we've been poor for so long.... It's a relearning curve.
    And it's EXCITING! 😁

Beautiful work. I had just considered getting the HG trailer they now have. Regarding the weathering, I worked on/with these in the army and I can tell you that the primary wear points on the diamond plate will be where the load's wheelbase goes. The paint down the center of the plates is usually worn nearly or completely off. When you figure out the load for this thing, place it on the trailer and roll it on and off a few times to get an idea of where the rub spots are and weather accordingly.

Great build, looks really nice, can't wait to see more on your hemtt, would love to see the crane reviewed. As a tip, when you use panel liner instead of using tissue to wipe excess off a large soft make up brush is great to soften and blend the edges. Thanks again for this series. All the best.

Great build we love watching your video. May I say try this where the track cut into the metal it will be rusty and metal. More rust then metal where the tracks hit the front of the transport trailer (Yes I'm a heavy equipment operater) on the front edge will be metal looking where the tracks grab to climb up the trailer. How this give you a idea of what we see when they unload the equipment have a good day.
