This is great. I tore my labrum in half in high school and played on it till my second year of college baseball. Got it fixed in May of 2018, came back at 94 and now I go to the doctor tomorrow to get TJ. I missed out on a professional contract and 3 college seasons but I will come back even stronger than last time.
Grant Reed how old are you if you don’t mind me asking ?
@Grant Reed Best of luck!
Best of luck brother!
Jay F I’m 22. I have surgery on my UCL on the 21st of February.
Erik L thank you!
As a young pitcher currently rehabbing from TJ this video gave me some comfort knowing I’m not the only one with these thoughts and struggles.
These Momentum videos are always great. As a Sox fan I’ve seen Ryan’s up and downs over the past 2 years, but I’ve always liked him and hope to see him in the Sox pen at some point down the road again.
Best wishes for you Ryan! hope to see you again in the show
I tore both my labrums in high school, wrecked my knees catching....I've undergone 8 surgeries including a partial knee replacement and thumb joint reconstruction. My shoulders have no cartilage left. You can do this. Good luck I'll be cheering you on.
Thank you Momentum! Great content! Watching from Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Cheering for this guy to pitch good for the jays
This is a great narrative for fans and players alike. We all too often see TJ as a sort of guarantee, where said pitcher goes under the knife and will be back the next year. We miss that in between -- the mental and physical struggle that goes into the rehab is surely grueling.
Just got Tommy John today and i relate to so much in this video 🦾
@Momentum EXCELLENT subjects and features Guys!! Great work!! 💯🙏
This is a great story! Been a huge baseball fan my entire life and knew Tommy John was hard to come back from. But this put into perspective how much it takes to get back 2 the bigs and how much work you have to put in! Momentum just puts out fire content!
Appreciate you 🙌
your outcome in life doesnot depend on your income-you outcome in life depends on how you OVERCOME...
this was much needed
I had TJ surgery my junior year of high school, it hit me hard with all these scenarios racing through my mind that I would be done in, finished, all that jazz, but considering how young I was I got on a good path with my coach backing me up 100%, got ready just in time for senior year and lit it up, then transitioned to center field l, great year, college ball was fun until the concussion ended it, but I learned so much after missing junior year of baseball in high school, I wish the best for anyone young who goes through such a moment, keep your head up and remain steadfast in recovery💯🔥
Really needed to see this. I’m a LHP at Missouri State University having TJ next week.
I wish I had TJ when I was playing. Instead I got stuck with the career killing (labrum) SLAP tear.
DuhJango Fett just had labrum surgery and at first the doctor said it was a slap tear but thankfully once they got it they said it wasn’t. So hopefully it won’t be as bad everybody says the slap tear is.
Cooper Smith yeah mine was pretty bad, as long as you keep to the rehab program you should be fine. My tear was the worst my doctor had seen
TJ is the most mental hardship one can go through, don't move too fast in rehab, slow and strict form focus will get anyone back, the second your mind wants to move to that next gear two steps back....
⚾️💯
As a white Sox fan I liked Burr and I hope he comes back healthy and consistent because this team needs bullpen arms
Same I'm also late
