The thing is when theyre all joking about if the ball was a homerun or a pop out to second I really have no idea because i cant tell which one of them is joking
Hey Momentum, what do you think? Dear MLB, I want to let you know that out of the four major sports, baseball carries more weight in my heart than any other sport (and all other sports combined). Baseball has filled my adolescent springs and summers with the seemingly endless buckets of sunflower seeds, the not-too-shabby MLB player imitations in the on-deck circle, and the warmups in the little league bullpen (more like the worn out patch of dirt behind the dugout) while imagining I was about to walk out to “Mr. Sandman” in a packed Yankee Stadium. Baseball has given me the countless memories, valuable disciplines, and treasured relationships that have made me who I am today. I am very thankful. However, there is a problem. That which is near and dear to my heart, and undoubtedly near to the hearts of many others, is in a crisis of its own that could forever cripple baseball’s relevancy in our society. This crisis is not an opportunity for the heroic to come to the rescue. This crisis is not wholly centered on the coronavirus pandemic. This crisis is not even about racial injustice, even though these are all very valid and relevant issues. This crisis is centered around one thing: money. Baseball as a sport is so special in that you can be any body type (small, tall, skinny, husky, lanky, ripped) and still be able to enjoy the game to your own advantage. Compare Jose Altuve to Aaron Judge and you’ll get what I mean! Let’s just be honest though. Not many young kids are rushing towards the sandlot anymore. They’d rather go to the basketball court or to the football field. Nothing at all is wrong with that, but baseball used to be so popular and now it’s not what it once was. Why’s that? Generational tastes and preferences? I don’t see it being a generational problem. Baseball thinks that the problem is how long and drawn out the games are, or simply put that baseball games take so long. Now as a fan, I am completely for the necessary adjustments needed to modernize the game. While the attempt is noble, they’re trying to weave time into the fabric of a game who’s uniqueness is that it can be played regardless to time. I don’t see time being a problem. The slow-killing disease of baseball is greed. Between the unreasonable TV package deals that were required to watch a simple game in certain areas to the infamous labor strikes of the past, you’ve had your fair share of unpopularity due to the scavenger hunts you’ve forced your fans through for us to enjoy the content and the games you’ve given. That was all pre COVID-19. Now the issue is that you cannot hold your word to the only seller of your product: the players! You promised full-prorated salaries back in March, and seem mad at the Major League Baseball Players Association for simply expecting that which was agreed. That’s not only bad business, it’s just plain stupid. You’re shooting yourself in the foot over what Buster Olney described as “peanuts”. Ten years from now during the 2030 season, that’s when the fruit of your ultimate decision is going to begin to ripen. Will 2020 be the season when baseball was resurrected from the dead, or as the year when baseball was beginning to officially die? Only time will tell. There will undoubtedly be initial financial hardships at the beginning of a supposed season for MLB owners and players alike. Do I need remind you of the sheer uncertainty many of us non-professionals have to worry about on a daily basis? We laugh and mock at your restlessness over your millions because at the end of the day, you can still afford it. That’s not to say you didn’t deserve the money you’ve earned, that’s just giving a reality check to how the world of your fans typically is. Not all is gloom and doom. There is still a shot at redemption: uphold your word. Pay the players what you’ve agreed to pay them. Stop fretting over mere peanuts and just play ball already. America needs its national pastime to get back to work, and there’s ways to do that without obstructing the CDC guidelines. We can do this. You can do this. I believe in you, and I believe this can still be baseball’s finest hour. Your Loyal Fan, Michael
Trevor keep doing this sort of stuff. Great way of showing the audience the players personalities! Thinking of buying a Bauer jersey because you're a great person and player!
Definitely not a Cincinnati or Cleveland fan but Bauer is NAILING these videos. ALL STYLES of baseball! The editing display each players personalities very very well in a pace that’s fit for baseball. It’s hard to describe the type of mental pace you gotta have to keep up wit the rhythm of baseball, it’s really a beautiful thing that these videos display
To think long ago this dude when on the then former Cleveland Indians and was dripping blood from is right pinkie finger and tried to play it off to keep pitching is somewhat one of the most things you wouldn’t expect to torment other opponents.
I am actually really surprised paige was able to hit the heater so well, especially since it's a smaller bat, smaller ball, and a lot faster. Good to see though
Thank you momentum huge fan probably remember me from the last vid please get jamhai jones to go on live at bats I love these vids and that would only make these vids better
