Thanks for watching! Let me know compressor you're currently using or also considering buying if you don't have one yet!
I got bored of that amount of talking before I could see the video
Sorry I was still new to making videos but thanks for trying! 😂✊
Yo dude. Hey I was just curious what the "modification" really does to the cs3... I bought a stock cs3 for my bass and, with limited playing, am pretty satisfied. The compressors designed for bass, in particular, are quite a bit more expensive than what I payed for my cs3 and that's why I went with it... I guess, to sum up, what does the mod offer that I'm not already getting?
the major difference in the bass mod is that they change some of the components to suit the lower frequencies that Bass pushes through the pedal. The thing you have to be careful of when using guitar pedals for bass is whether or not they will roll off the low end. The bass version preserves the low end and also reduces signal noise with upgraded components
Caleb Mattson ionospheric go hu
Hey bro, good question! The mod opens up the circuitry to more specifically include lower frequencies. I now use the Darkglass Hyper Luminal and it's EPIC!
I will buy an cs 3 or Lmb 3 for my bass and Equivalent Input Noise Level of BOSS CS 3 is -110 dBu (IHF-A Weighted, Typ.) and Equivalent Input Noise Level of BOSS LMB 3 is -86 dBu (IHF-A, Typ. So which one is better for me and why ?
Hey Mert! If you're still in the market for a bass compression pedal, then I would definitely go with the Darkglass Hyper Luminal. It's a BEAST and way less noisy than the CS-3 here. You can find a sweet deal on one on Reverb and save $10 using my personal link: bit.ly/jesseTVreverb
-86 > -110
At this point I would strongly suggest going with Darkglass Electronics Hyper Luminal compressor. Many options and clean output.
After almost 20 years of playing bass guitar and acoustic 6 strings guitar I'm using ZERO pedals. Experimented for a while and get to conclusion that it's better to use time practice different styles, techniques, adjust them for my self, learn little stuff that make you sound very good. I have passive bass, some trash Turser guitar brand but upgrade it with Fender noiseless pickups,Earnie Ball stings, massive bridge, changed electronics and it sounds great.
I've been playing guitar for 11 years and I've learned that pedals are expensive but technique is priceless.
Phil Collins Hill But pedals and technique are truely rare and priceless.
So cool! Rock on!!!
+k-9 smg agreed! 😎
+Phil Collins Hill haha! There's always ways to afford pedals 😉
Is this cs3 very noisy??
Bass??
YASSSSSSS! Although, I no longer use this pedal as my compression pedal. I now run a compression pedal by Darkglass Electronics that they don't make anymore because they have a newer one called the Hyper Luminal: www.darkglass.com/creations/hyper-luminal/
Hey i was wondering if the mod just preserve the low end? I'm trying to find a cheaper pedal that works for guitar AND bass as i'm doing a rig for both. I already have a cs-3 and was looking at mods to lower the noise and accommodate for bass.
I think you are on a good track here with this being able to get dual use out of it. I played guitar through mine several times and I thought it sounded great.
You're in VA Beach? I'm in Roanoke
Oh nice! I was just in Roanoke last week! I've lived in Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and Radford. Love it over there! ✊

@@leelewis4926 oh that's awesome! Will do!
dude the volume of this video is way too low
torcher78 just put a compression on the video
Sorry! Thanks for powering through and watching anyway! Cheers!
#literally #dead haha
I’m after a compression pedal and I think the boss ones seem to be a good choice.Plus there well built.Any downside to them ?
You should look at the compression pedal by Darkglass Electronics! It's VERY good! I ended up replacing my CS3 for one. The CS3 was very noisy.
JesseTV Bass Darkglass seem to make some great pedals.I noticed they cost a little more but they are gd quality. What make do you have ?
Jase 71 I have the Super Symmetry which has been replaced by their newest one that has three modes and one of them is the Super Symmetry, so I recommend that one for sure. I have a review video of the Super Symmetry on UA-cam!
JesseTV Bass yeah I will cheers
Jase 71 cheers! ✌🏻
Could you talk less and play more while switching it on and off ....
