Hey DMS, I wanna know how the frequency response of a headphone change with different amps. How does small and large impedences of headphones respond to different amps. Also what is the difference between a cheap amp vs a powerful amp.
That’s interesting, I thought that the liquid spark emphasized the highs a bit and was a little lacking in the bass. It definitely does emphasize the meds. It is a great $100 amp though! I am running it off of an Emotiva elittle ego DAC, Not sure if that makes a difference.
Then it’s a bad amp. Amps are not supposed to colour the music. It should do what it is supposed to, amplify the audio signal and accurate reproduction.

But as good as it sounds I have 2 major gripes about these: first off they cheaped out on the volume knob. There's pretty much zero resistance and it gets uncomfortably loud with just a tiny twist. Second, the power supply doesn't have enough power and this thing would distort at higher volume. Swap it out for a 12V 2A power supply easily solved the problem.

Just get an Atom and EQ if you want to color your output.
You want to know what's the best budget amp? A vintage receiver.
Yea but some of the good vintage stuff gets super expensive, i had a nice old receiver but the noise floor on the headphones was baddddd.
@@craftcreu not all vintage receivers have bad noise floor the power that they give is insane for the price you pay you can power headphones well over 300 ohms easily similar amplifiers would cost you a fortune. I planned on getting a few after purchasing a couple of tube amps
@@truthseekingtroll3575 more power is not always good. Take any schiit , audio gd products for example.
They claim 16W of power at but on further inspecting their thd graph they start clipping at 200mW or something.
This is bait.
Look forward to your video on amp development in the future. That would be very constructive.
the one thing they all have in common is that they are all not available in EU...
Hahahahaha true LOL
We get the K5 from FiiO here for 150€ and the K5 Pro for 200€. It's solid stuff too.
Excelent video as always, i still don't understand why you don't have above 100.000 subs. Maybe because your videos are too damn well prepared lol. Greetings from Argentina.
thx
You can build your own o2 amp for 40e
Uhm....kinda busted the magnis balls there...you could've just put your wrist on it to hold it down...then flipped the switch....oh wait....
I was gonna leave a like but I already did.
I guess you pronounce "shiit" like "sheet", otherwise it will sound like "shit". The two "ii"s are like a long "i".
RIP Magni
Amp diddler
