I'm British, so this year has been the best ever for me. Riding Hyperia after following its construction for years was magical. Ka closing was terrible news tho
For me in the uk 🇬🇧 it was a great year !! We got Hyperia, Nemesis reborn, Gold rush, The wave and Minifigure speedway. I do understand that it sucked for Americans tho 😅
Do you count Nemesis Reborn as a new coaster though? It technically has the same layout, just with new track and new theming. (No hate to Nemmy though second best I have ever ridden :D
Nemesis: Reborn is great, but Shockwave is tamer without the unique standup feature (now there are no UK rides with it), and Gold Rush came at the cost of two of Drayton’s best flat rides: Apocalypse and Pandemonium.
Great video! Losing Ka sucks, and I think that Mack extreme launch would be pretty awesome, but definitely not a worthy replacement, would be worthy if it was a full layout one like Ride to Happiness
1:43 it's weird because I started out optimistic about it, but at this point I'm pretty much in the opposite head space. The top like 4 parks will get big, exciting rides and everyone else will get small dives and family thrill coasters. Hope I'm wrong, but my closest park has no shot until 2027, and it's a really long, unrealistic shot.
best thing that happened this year for coasters was me gaslighting 5 of my friends that had never been on a roller coaster before that iron gwazi was the tamest ride in the park. luckily that converted them into big coaster fans and we ended up riding cheetah hunt like 5 times in a row
5:33, this isnt true, theyve been actively doing welding and work on some of the support connectors, similar to what they did prior to opening on the smiler
We're also very likely to be losing Kumba here pretty soon. Busch Gardens hasn't announced anything yet, but it's been closed recently, as B&M told the park to shut it down so they could inspect the ride. From what I've heard, it would take a very large amount of money to reopen the ride. Something BGT would rather spend on a new ride than refurbishing Kumba, which doesn't really pull much of a line these days.
The only thing I’ll ever accept as a replacement for Kingda Ka is an vekoma blitz that’s 10x the insanity velicocoaster was. I wanna see the tallest, fastest AND MOST INSANE blitz coaster in that plot. I’m taking naesea inducing inversions, fast speeds and heights. I’m over exaggerating but whatever they do the replace Ka needs to be big or BIGGER. idc no exceptions.
Hey there, don’t take it seriously but, about Formula Rossa, I heard a rumor that they sped up the lunch and it’s going to be 280 km per hour or 173 miles per hour after it will reopen hopefully soon ( again I don’t know 100 %) btw great video, keep it up 👍
I I only watched this video because of the Thumbnail and waited paitently that Wild Train will appear but it didnt please make a video about european coasters that were scrapped in 2024
For the people in Europe it was good for you guys, for us in America, it was an absolute sh*tshow cause cedar point only got top thrill 2 open for 8 days and six flags couldn’t even get two shuttle coasters open but could get a woodie open, MAKE IT MAKE SENSE-
I f*cking hate what this industry is becoming. I hate that the new trend is just to remove rides without prior warning. At best, Scorpion got about a three day notice and everything else closed with no fanfare. The freaking BOOMERANG got the most heartfelt send off and that was a retheme. They probably see it as better PR since a lot of general public who don’t visit the parks or don’t go often won’t care, but you’re spitting on the legacy these rides left for 40, 50, (or in the case of Ka, only 19) years. And not giving guests the chance to ride them which would bring in profits. I think it’s a disgusting practice. Beyond that, I think Zamperla deserves some heat for TT2 but the real culprit is Cedar Fair. And now there’s rumors they might close Carolina Cyclone or Nighthawk, again with no warning. Remember when even Mean Streak got a send off? Silver Dollar City gave one for FITH. Even Iron Wolf got one at Great America back in the day. And you’d expect Busch to be good at this if anyone. Now they’re wasting Drachen Fire’s plot on a family coaster and KI might be doing that for Vortex because they gave up on RMC after three projects.

“Meanwhile in Great Britain”
@@foofoo-g9o I do !! It’s like a clone of the ride. (Example: Batman the ride clones.) Also what about TT2 I’d say reborn had more new track than that

SFGA is my home park and they really screwed the pooch this year. I don't even want to go back now.
For Europe it was nice. Loved Mahuka and Voltron
Lucky bastard

8:45 This is a family Gravity Group coaster
Cedar Fair merger is the worst thing to happen

8:43 it’s gravity group
I think they replaced the restraints on Triple Loop with lap bars.
Yeah, they did. They're just removing the terrible over the shoulder restraints. It already had lapbars as well, so they just removed to OTSRs.
Let's be real, one of the best parts of 2024 for enthusiasts is how hype it's leaving us going into 2025 lol.
Great for us 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 best year yet!
bro didnt even talk about the biggest loss, Wild Train RIP
That shows you how much horrible shit went down this year.
@@WhatAG23 i mean atleast we (austria) are getting 1x stryker and 1x big dipper next year, i can take the wild train loss for this
I was gonna include it when I was thinking of this video, and then when I wrote the script I completely forgot. It’s in the thumbnail tho :/

well, you're definitely gonna have to set your expectations a bit lower than that if you have any intentions of being happy later down the line
2:38 we also know it will be launched

Yes, that is false, but I would kill for that!
This year is this close to convincing me that it’s joever
The crowning glory for 2024 has to be the reemergence of Zamperla with TT2! Oh wait…
I I only watched this video because of the Thumbnail and waited paitently that Wild Train will appear but it didnt please make a video about european coasters that were scrapped in 2024

How did Bobcat at Great Escape open before some of these other attractions 😭😭😭 Great Adventure took such a massive L this year 💀
FYI all American triple loop now has lap bars
Also just in nighthawk is closed for good at Carowinds
Does David Zaslav own Six Flags now?
I already see at least 3 more abrupt closures coming before the end of the year.
Tax write-offs?
RCDB still lists it as operating
superman escape from krypton was running this past august idk if you meant it was sbno since september (3months ago ) or september 2023
September 2024
Huge year for Europa Park tho, Voltron is awesome.
Come to the uk mate
Let me tell you. Working at great adventure this year was very confusing. I’m confident in its success though
I swear formula rossa was closed for the whole year
Let’s rephrase it to sixflags had a bad 2024
Generally been a bad year for the people across the the pond
Europe on the other hand

If you thought Georgia scorcher is cool wait until you ride riddler
I’ve ridden riddler. Not a fan at all.
Laughs in European
… for America yeah…
Just give me a Intamin giga for ka
2024 sucked for everything…
Apart from the uk
