Have you gotten better? I took an Olympic lifting class when I was studying in Amsterdam so I can push press probably 50% more than I can strict press, and I feel like that should be the aim

Actually did standing OH press yesterday for the first time in years and did like half my set strict, then squeezed out the rest with some leg drive push press type stuff. My push press is definitely rusty lol i gotta work on it.
I find this to be true on the bench as well, if you focus on moving the weight quickly off your chest using leg drive, the sticking point will be pushed higher and your chance to lock it out increases
God help your lower back, those poor disc will rupture, it's just a matter of time. When they do, u will hate yourself for doing such a useless exercise.

I’ve noticed this before. Drastic difference in pushing all the way through and not letting momentum carry you
