The Aurora exploration episode is going to be the most heartbeating experience for our duo, remember to take breaks every now and then from the ocean depths.
"Why is Cave" is a very important question and one of the deepest ones (heh) one can ask.I knew this is going to be a good episode when the creators can distill the essence of the game in 3 profound words.
Josh was fine there for a good bit, but then he was reminded that to continue progressing, he needed to go DEEPER. And when you go deeper, you get into BIGGER TROUBLE.
The message with the sandwich comment are the guys from Neebs Gaming. They’d done a cinematic of their playthrough while the game was still in development and were eventually contacted to do some voice lines. You can also find items that relate to Markiplier and Jacksepticeye as similar thanks for their playthroughs.
1:43 As I mentioned before, you get stalker teeth by waiting by stalkers. When stalker pick up scrap metal, there is a chance for a tooth to break off. You can make this process faster and safer by feeding the stalkers peepers, which you do by having a peeper in your hand near them, and dropping scrap metal near them. The stalkers will try to bring you the metal, making it more likely for a tooth to drop.
Fun fact for Josh and crew, and anyone else who didn't know. That Altera HQ message is record by Neebs and Apsro from Neebs Gaming. The devs liked their series on the game so much they added them into the game 😛
considering the fact that the game's telling them to go to the Aurora, he *will* run into one. actually, even if he doesn't run into the Reaper (or the other Leviathans, for that matter), there's still the Sea Emperor... which is *mandatory.* Josh is still going to $#1t his pants and his Thalassophobia worsened, no matter what.
Okay feels like there's been enough to clarify. Yes that was just coincidental timing in the wreck, the land and jellyshroom bases were from a previous ship, if you haven't been definitely let the PDA logs play.
Relax Josh, the Aurora area is safe, the radiation killed everything around it. The area is barren. Just make sure you fix the leaks in the reactor and you won't need the radiation suit anymore.
Josh you need to get upgrades for your scanner room. They're very cheap to make and really enhances the effectiveness of the scanner room. There's the hud upgrade which lets you see the markers for the stuff you search for. Also, the range upgrade stacks allowing the scanner room to scan farther. P.S. the stasis rifle is non-lethal but lets you stop big creatures for easy scanning
One of my favorite little things about Subnautica players is that they tend to adopt some random fish forever. Angory Tom was playing this and his aquarium full of infected Boomerangs became the recurring characters known as the Disgusto Fish.
It saddens me that Josh won’t be able to appreciate the best line in the game: “Are you here… to play?” Because he’s going to be scared shitless. We really need Cotton to take control for the end of the game because we need someone who won’t pause the game out of fear whenever anything happens when they get there. I’m trying not to spoil too much, but I think anyone whose played the game should get what I mean.
Yeah, that's kinda where I was going too. As fun as it is to drink the sweet salty tears, I want them to *actually* experience the game instead of pausing any time that *anything* happens.
Ah, one of the moments I was waiting for: Josh's first contact with the Empress. Edit: Just in case Josh sees this comment, that voice you heard over the radio at 19:05 was the Warper. It was that Purple Octopus-looking creature you saw near the Gun Island.
25:58 "Why did [the eel] just penetrate the nipple!?" I nearly choked lmao; just imagine hearing that without context XD If that's not one of Josh's weirdest comments of 2023, I'll be surprised
How to scanner room: 1. Select search object 2. Drive camera probe to the search object (it shows as a beacon to the probe) 3. Go to camera probe and collect search object 4. ??? 5. Profit.
Dude. I was literally yelling at Cotton (as if he could hear me) to warn Josh that his Seamoth was breaking. Resources are key at first and the last thing you want to do is build something you already have.
I forget where the fragments are generally found, but you definitely want to get a Moon Pool and a Vehicle Upgrade Station. The former lets you dock your seamoth/P.R.A.W.N. to your base for recharging, and the latter lets you repaint them, rename them, and fabricate upgrades.
4:28 yet. 7:31 basically, a device that allows you to insert "upgrades" to your vehicles. with the Seamoth, for instance, with the right upgrade it can dive to deeper depths, move faster, etc. 7:32-7:46 yes, that was real. this... i'm not spoiling, but i will say that she's telepathic and she's relevant to the plot. 9:21 correct. and a mobile base of sorts (you're still better off with a stationary base, though). 19:05-19:15 that was a*Warper* talking. that purple octopus with scythes for hands? yep, THAT. and spoiler alert: they're bio-mechanical organisms; part organic part cybernetic. why are they hunting you? well, spoiler alert N.2: that infected Stalker from earlier? they're designed to kill anything that is infected.
You can place a bigger aquarium, the alien containment, and those eggs you got you can put those in the big aquarium to get a mystery creature! Like the sand sharks gas mask fish or the stalkers, and the crab snakes. 😊
One issue you might have is that I think one of the cyclops parts might be somewhat deep so you're going to have to take a deep dive at some point. Getting the cyclops should be worth whatever scares you have to confront though.
I feel this is some form of karmic payback for Josh constantly putting Cotton through pain after pain in Monster Hunter, namely Plesioth and Crystal Beard.
I'm sad that no one in the comments is telling them about guys from Altera HQ that called. They are Neebs and Appsro from the youtube channel Neebs Gaming
I feel for josh in this cause i admit to having the same fear of the ocean depths it's why when it comes to subnautica i prefer watching than playing so i can laugh at others misfortune who don't have the same fear as me and josh

G's I wonder if there was something to help u go deeper me looking at Aurora. And before I forget to complete the cyclops u have to scan 8 more parts so~. Have fun.
Watching Josh play is like watching a rabbit trudge through the wild as a nervous wreck. And I love it

Can I just say I LOVE this series? Josh’s thalassaphobia combined with his awe at the game’s environment is just a treat.
Seeing Josh get jumpscared by the tiniest of fish makes me seriously worried for him knowing what's to come.

How deep did Josh’s heart sink after hearing “sharing location with other agents”
Starting to get deeper now. This is where the game starts getting even more fascinating.
And terrifying

I thought that sounded like their lil bit of nonsense
I didnt realise they actually were fully asked to be involved in the games vc lines
@@notrelatedtobacon1282 It's a shame that Thick44 passed away earlier this year. Gonna miss the Wyvern King.

That "What?" hit different 19:08. Poor Josh he's suffering for out entertainment.
I really can’t wait for Josh to hear a reaper roar

Can’t wait for the “are you sure what ever it is that you are doing is worth it” message hahah

Josh may have a genuine heart attack if they travel outside the playable area.

I wonder if Josh will be more comfortable once he's properly armed and is able to just stomp the smaller enemies.
