thank you slice...it's remind me of my lovely childhood...even I'm grow in mountain...I mean far away from the sea..but me and all my friends always running and yelling in the rainy days...oh I miss all that's time
@34:00-49:40 Been there living in one of those type of villages in Tawi-tawi Southern Philippines, living with the people for a year. Since then, my goals in life include on how to bring the present day "nomads" but who from few generations back, been made to believe that to beg in cities is better than living in boats - to get back their identity and dignity - their life in the sea. The phrase "life is much better today (47:00-47:19)" is a good starting point..
Very good plastic recycling!❤ putting the lobster in the bottle. Every person helps to save the environment so that we can sustain and continue to ave the resources Jah provided for us. Thank you.
Excellent documentation and very clear video, enjoy watching this being from the islands myself,so interesting.just wondering how old do these people live to?cheers.God bless you,and these communities in these videos.from an island called Rotuma north of the Fiji islands, but living in New Zealand for the last forty-five years.
I have been to those places but now I live in Chicago. If you offered me the chance to go back and live there I could have my bag packed in fifteen minutes.
I really owe to slice for their uncountable efforts. That’s how I've known about the real way of life surviving and It's the another way to improve my English.
Thank you for showing the simple life lived by the people in Adara. Their women are industrious. East Timor is a young country. I'm hoping their government helps this village. With love from Luzon, Philippines. ❤
most villages like those are placed on chosen spots where tidal currents are strong enough to carry away biodegradable refuse including human excrements and where underwater fauna species that consume them are more than enough to leave nothing to keep the waters under the houses clean. Although some "modernized" ones have mini-septic tanks made out of plastic drums.
@@roniloacabo7760 oh, thank you for this information, I appreciate knowing how this essential part of life works there. I assume, then, that they must use a biodegradable toilet paper?
@@ggrace1133 no use of toilet paper at all. It's all washing with soap and water and tap drying with towel - the more "elegant" way. But the basic is fetch a small bucket of sea water from below and wash yourself with it.
So it seems that this account for SLICE got hacked cuz its no longer the original content creator who uploaded this beautiful videos.. sad and I hope the hacker get what he deserves, a life of solitude with only himself to talk to
I’m kinda confused ! They said the few dollars they earned after selling their goods ! But yet she charged 5 dollars for one fish , and a squid ! Since she had a huge amount of fish , she should have made several hundred bucks ! Even more since that 5 dollars was in US money
This shows that materialism is not the happiness that humans need !
Thank you Slice.
