Very nice video, Nigel. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. A great job that many can have benefit of. In my climate I have to adjust the calendar a bit. I wish you a happy new gardening year.
Really great, useful video Nigel. Thanks for putting that together, and thanks for the discount code! Just ordered my last 5 packets of seed I was missing and it came in very handy 👍🏼😊🌱
Hi Nigel, As every a very good video looking at this has made me look forward even more to the up coming growing season, roll on 2020. All the best Wayne.
what a coincidense nigel. i was actually going through my seeds when i tuned into your channel. i'n not dividing my rhubarb crowns this year, but when i do i leave them on the surface of the soil until early spring. i believe this is a north east thing. this was a great 30 minutes, migel. better than sitting and reading one of my gardening books. definately a big thembs up from me.....................brian
Always enjoy watching these throughout the year Nigel, will pop this into my favourites as its a good reminder as time does go quickly. ♻️Happy Gardening........🍂Terry King🍁
I’ll be doing my first community garden plot (similar to an allotment here in the States) this year. I just found your channel and I’m so glad I did! Thanks for the tips.
Great video Nigel and a very useful one at that. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas and hopefully 2020 is a good year for you too. All the best mate. Barry (Wirral, ENG)
Hi mate. A great review of the jobs to do over the year. Nice of you to include an index to each of the months. Hope you and your family have had a brilliant Christmas. Here’s to a great growing year in 2020. Take care. Nick
Thanks for breaking the year down into bite size chunks , it certainly helps me to break things down in this way. I tend to do a lot of the groundwork between now and the end of February things get busy on the plot after that. Good luck with your plot in 2020.
Excellent video, can I ask, I have real problems with my hands, getting sores and rashes, and have not found a pair of garden glove I like, which ones do you use as they look very strong and flexible
Hi Nigel, Thank you for the monthly info. The beginning was about treating the soil, is it true you can’t treat all soils that way as some crops will not give good crops with well rotted manure. I was advised by a gardener anything growing below soil should not contain manure, but anything above ground would be ok. I would take whatever you say as my choice..🤔🤔😊
Hi Michael, that is a good rule of thumb to work by and you won’t go far wrong. Carrot and parsnip are prime examples. If the soil is too rich, they will fork 👍🏻
@The 25m SQ challenge. OK, so Charles Dowding did 170 kg last year (in what ever form), we can beat him - Right? I want a new book to make it easy. First chal to kelly, Nige and terry :)
No not the probe I had my soil probed when I was abducted... ;-) Nice round up and tips for the year mate. had lots going on so a bit late. Happy new year.

Cheers Nigel. I'm facing my first full allotment year and this video will be very useful! All the best for 2020, both in life and down on the plot!
Very good and well done for breaking down the video into "GOTO" segments in the description. How can one not bookmark this vid? Cheers Nigel 🍺🍷🍺🍷🍺🍷
