@@skyeazura3593 It's called "attenuation" it's automatic sound adjustment whenever someone is speaking in order to hear them better.
@@skyeazura3593 it's a setting on Discord that reduces background volume when people are speaking. helps me hear what everyone is saying without having to worry about something being too loud randomly which makes things easier to transcribe later.

I'm surprised I didn't see any "Thal's Balls" jokes considering the community latched onto that in mere seconds.
But they have yet to notice that he summons his balls in sets of 3, which has heavy implications if you think about it
As my immediate thought was "So does this technically mean that Nald is Thal's Balls?"
They were just to aw struck by them

@@dazzlemasseur it's an in world swear replacement that was used as placeholder text in the early versions of the game to get it on playstation. Koji Fox spilled the beans on that one and it is an amazing story.
After meeting Byregot, it makes way too much sense that Godbert is so badass as a crafter.
Personally think this alliance has had the most fun but also troll bosses, a single player being able to wipe you on nald'thal scales by going over the line is funny as fuck but also really frustrating at the same time.
It's more like 2-3 players, but yeah that mechanic is pretty unforgiving
U can say the mechanic isn’t really, balanced
I have already rescued someone over the line to save the whole raid, but means someone out there has rescued (possibly even with good intentions) and wiped a raid. Balance in all things.
Done this raid 6 time and that only happened once. No one wants to repeat the whole thing even trolls.
@@fluffyfang4213 I have unintentionally rescued someone trying to wipe a raid, and ended up saving it instead. Several others in the raid were in discord with me at the time and we were doing it to troll a certain streamer so it was all done in good fun, but still kinda sucked that it didnt work the way it was planned.

Considering that oschon is my main’s patron deity, I will put down a fat sack of gil if deryk or the monkey isn’t revealed to be oschon
Everything in just this first chunk of the raid points to it, nobody’s fooled

I strongly suspected he was one of them, but it's nice to now have a good idea of which one. I missed the "they all have pets" cue and instead noted that he found the place and it's still really unclear how.
Oschon is mine as well. I was having some of the same thoughts. I just wonder how they’re going to address it when his fight eventually comes up.
@@MRF0XTR0T the wild crackpot/tinfoil hat theory I had going was that if oschon remains our guide for the entirety of the raid, we could potentially forego his fight and instead get an alliance raid redux of *Odin*
I know that sounds utterly stupid, but just imagine if we got to explore odin’s origins beyond the short questline in the shroud, given that the sword had to come from somewhere and it passes itself on through more or less tempering someone and reformatting their soul into a new Odin (kind of like the sahagin priest in 2.2-who got that ability from Elidibus’s teachings)
Personally I’m thinking it’s something to do with Auspices 👀

I love watching first runs of this and seeing who catches on that the entire skybox for Nald'Thal matches the attack that is going off, not just the floating lights around him.

I noticed the skybox loooooong before I saw the lights around him.

I was aware of both the skies and lights arouns himn but i still prefer to watch which of his heads is up because its more fun to me!

I am shocked that your group managed to do the weight mechanic correctly on the first try. Even weeks later, there's still folks who can't do that mechanic! 🤬
People still don't seem to realize that as long as everyone goes opposite of the add they were tethered to, the only players who need to adjust to balance the scales are the small number of untethered ones.

If the rest of the Myths of a Realm Alliance raids are going to be as good as Aglaia, it's easily going to replace Ivalice as my favourite Alliance raid series. Aglaia itself is probably already my second favourite behind Ridorana Lighthouse.

@@Crazyphapha I wouldn't go so far as to call it a dumpster fire. But unlike this one and ivalice, it felt less "original" because it was drawing from nier/drakengaard for its stuff.
And the story of this one is mega important to the world of XIV, unlike nier

I am really excited to learn more about The Twelve from these raids...like if the rolling theory of Azem inspiring Azim/Azeyma is true and in that case just how.
Also just really interested into learning more about the patron diety that I chose in character creation more on a whim than anything.
It is very likely that Azim inspired Azeyma but it would be Venat's stint as Azim. It's the same VA which I don't think was a choice made lightly

joined in on a pure DPS run of this (if you count 12 summoners and 8 RDM’s as pure DPS) and it was some of the most fun i had this game. not a single wipe, and it came down to one last samurai doing a level 1 limit break (i was the RDM over on the floor after being hit by something) it was hype as hell. i will probably never see any of those other players again, but it was beautiful.
With Azeyma, the answer to every question about every mechanic is "And then it blows up."
Oh yeah, I've been waiting for this.

I honestly love this raid! The music is awesome, the setting, mechanics ... Its overwhelming at first but as soon as you get the hang of it, its really rewarding.
There is no way on the First that Deryk isn't Oschon.

Stating it here in case anybody has yet to realize...the color of the mechanic Nald'thal is using is given away by the background. If it's orange/red, orange/red mechanics will always go off. If blue, blue mechanics will go off. Note that he does switch things every other cast, so don't get jebaited!
