🚨 Throwback Alert! 🚨 This episode is a classic, but we've never released the full version on UA-cam... until now! With Herm & Schrader dropping their first episode next week, we thought it was the perfect time to re-release this gem.
Nothing better than Kenny S telling stories.. Mike needs to not talk so much and let the Icons and Legends Speak. They are in the middle of talking then he opens his mouth with something stupid or something that has nothing to do with it. Ask something before they get to a point tell him to STFU.
@@Smith-wk6pb Kind of hard to tell the leader of the show to stfu, but this is a throwback as already stated, Mike doesn't participate on the show in regards to speaking on the podcast anymore.
I wanted to tell Dale Jr. I thought it was a great thing telling Schrader how much of he meant to him and his family. I feel that Jr and I are close as I lost my daddy unexpected and it left a whole in me. Dale's dad and mine were both stubborn and misunderstood. They however loved with the biggest heart and that could never be taken from them. I think what you guys do at dirty mo is awesome keeping the history of racing alive! Thanks guys and I hope that this message gets to Dale Jr. Cause he has always inspired me and kept me motivated. Thanks again.
will all of this air on youtube so so so wish I could give Mikey ,Dale and Kenny a hug and tell them how sorry I am about how this even changed them emotionally. lost my own dad to cancer but lost a good friend in an accident no one saw coming. hugs to all three of them
My wife and II were in a restaurant in Monroe, Washington a few hours before Kenny lost his thumb and Kenny was in the booth next to us and I would not disturb him or the guys he was with about a autograph. I told my wife who Kenny was and I did not want to disturb him and let him enjoy his meal as most of the patrons there did not know who was there. As I get ready to pay my check the waitress would not give us the check and told us that the gentleman in the booth next to us had already paid it. We get up to leave and Kenny hands me a slip of paper with his autograph and he told me that he heard what I said and that he appreciated the fact we did not disturb him from enjoying his meal.
Shrader is a first-class guy. I love how he carries himself. Genuine good person. There should be more people like him. The world would be a better place.
Kenny is about as real as real gets just a great personality and a true racer.. I had the pleasure of throwing a couple back with him and a couple of other racers in Daytona at my grandfather's bar and the stories never stop and the more we drank the funnier they got. Thanks for the great times Shrader.💪✌️👍
My daughter was having her first birthday on the day Dale died. My best friend and I was watching the race and saw the wreck. I saw Schrader’s face when he ran over to help Dale and I knew it was bad. I will never forget that look. God bless Kenny Schrader. Thanks for the great podcast.
Kenny is the best! I love listening to him, no matter what he talks about. He’s funny, intelligent, and humble. Thank you Kenny for who you are and everything you have given us.
In my opinion, one of the greatest gifts in life would be to be able to call Kenny Schrader your friend. Absolutely love that guy. You’re very lucky to have him in your life Dale.
I’m from Belleville and grew up at belclair speedway. The track has gone into disrepair, but the city is tearing it down and building a larger track in its place. Thanks for everything you all.
A LARGER track??? I haven't heard this news!!! BelleVegas was a one of a kind 1/4 mile throwback! I LOVED that joint! Midgets 4 wide in 1-2 was a glorious thing!!!
Kenny is a one of a kind legend. I could listen to his stories for days. He is so good and loyal to so many dirt tracks and fans across the country. God Bless you!!!!
Mike is as important to the show as Junior. He adds sooo much depth and insight and is as interesting as any guest. Adds soo much to every conversation.
Listened to the podcast a few times and now watched it. Ken Schrader is an amazing human being. Glad he is on with Herm makes for some good stories. And Dale you had a lot of exceptional guests but Ken is still my favorite. And in some podcasts Dale kinda apologizes for bringing the old timers these are my absolute favorite shows. They won’t be around forever so glad someone is recording these stories. Thanks Dirty Mo Media
I have to tell my Schrader story. I was at Sears Point for the Cup race sometime in the mid-90ʻs. He was my favorite driver and I had the opportunity to get his autograph during an informal session. I got to the front of the line, handed him my little notebook, he signed it... and then he thanked me. HE thanked ME for signing my book! Iʻve never forgotten that, and I never will. Thanks again, Ken, from a lifetime fan.
I love Kenny! Im glad it was him, too. 😢 I miss #3. My son was at the July race in 2001. I was working the night shift at the local hospital and found an empty room and turned the tv on. Finally was able to take a quick break and sneak into the empty room and I was able to catch the last 2 laps and the celebration! 😢😢😢 miss seeing you out there too #8. But suffering a major concussion from a car accident in 2022, I understand why!!
Ken Schrader is probably my most favorite interview to listen to anywhere I see him. So many good stories. I started out watching him on Inside Winston Cup Racing on Speedvision and have been hooked ever since
I'M NOT MISTY EYED, I'M BAWLING BECAUSE I COULD HEAR THE EMOTION IN JR'S VOICE AND KENNY'S FACIAL EXPRESSION GAVE HIM AWAY ALONG WITH PATTING HIS HAND AND HE HAD TO CRACK A JOKE TO KEEP FROM LOSING IT AT THE END. I loved this podcast with Kenny my absolute favorite racer in the world. I was so fortunate to have watched him race this summer in Brighton Ontario dirt track. Kenny won the main event was lucky enough to meet up with him along with my Grandson at his trailer. Kenny you one of the best humans around. ❤❤❤ Thanks so much JR. and Mike.
That was awesome. Thanks for having Schrader on and your comment about being the keeper on your Dad's last race was spot on. It really put closure on that day for many of us who were at the race. Great job.
The last few moments when Jr is thanking Ken Schraeder for being with his dad and carrying the burden of being there with as Jr put "delicate" information that Ken Schrader saw. It looked like Ken Schrader wiped one tear away, making this so real and precious He knew. Thank you, Mr. Schrader. If you know what happened to Dale medically, you can just about know some of what he witnessed. And then having to talk to Richard Childress in the in-care field center.
