The secret is to die a lot and get no kills when you know you’ll win. That way next game you get the best players in the lobby. It’s sad this is where halo is..

My biggest problem is playing my life, I usually the most damage and time on objective or play objective most and I get a lot of kills but I also die a shit ton, I know how to play my life but I really suck at it and actually practicing it

I was plat4 about to reach plat5 in prev season. After reset, I played 5 matches and won all five convincingly. The rank I got is plat2 close to plat1.
No matter how good I play i dont get high reward. Max i get is 9pts. My damage and kills are among the top 2, 90% of the time.
Any suggestions what to do? How can I get more pts like 15 as I see in other videos. Thanks.
Its based on your performance and your MMR

Just keep winning. Eventually you'll get to Onyx if you're 60%+ win rate
