In this video, we’re going to use the extension Voronoi and Conic Curve to generate a 3D Voronoi pattern in SketchUp, then bend that pattern into a shape using Shape Bender and FredoScale’s radial bend option! Voronoi patterns are patterns generated mathmatically using distance from points. They are very organic and smooth looking.

Hi Justin, thanks for all of your fantastic tutorials - its really improving the learning curve for sketchup. I have a question: Is it possible to bend a wall with a voronoi pattern on an egg shape ? I could t figure out how because i dont have the 4 points which are needed.

You might be right - the difference is I think (not 100% sure) that shape bender creates a cleaner bend on the first go round. Haven't really done an in-depth test on that though. Thanks for the comment either way!

I have a problem with the last step. When I use the bending option, I select the blue line (parallel with the red axis) and then the curved one, however, the preview is not appearing. I redid the tutorial several times but is the same. Even if it appears to press enter or up/down, nothing happens. Does anybody know why this could happen and what could I do?

hey man, great video. I've installed the plugns but I have trouble when I wanted to activate it. the plugins doesn't appear in my toolbars menu but it said that it have been installed in my extension manager. any suggest ? I could use it anyway but I think It would've been easier if the plugins icon showed up in the screen, you know what I mean ?
If you right click in the plugins section at the top of the page, can you turn it on in the dropdown menu that shows up?
TheSketchUpEssentials i have some issue like that too, i have download itu but it only have voronoi XY, its only find in extensions menu. And it dont show up in tollbar menu

No idea - I thought that it did, but obviously I made the tutorial using the 2018 version, so I can't say for sure...

Probably not with this method. You might be able to project it onto a dome shape somehow, though I haven't tried it. Thanks!
