A swivel wheel in the front would work great.

Looks great. A swivel wheel mounted in the front would work nice...

You need a swivel wheel on your trailer or the mover to prevent it from tipping down too far

Needs a caster in the front under the ball to give you more control

Great idea question why not use the trailer guide wheel to keep it balanced

Do you know what after I watch the video? I think the same way, but we are humans we learn all the time.

I made one of these as a test. I used angle iron in would. Plus a hitch from a riding mower.
You definitely need a wheel in the front. It takes quite an effort to push down on the handles to lift the trailer. And the handles don't like that.
I'm actually thinking of making a different style to sell.
Now that I've seen the flaws in this idea.

I’ve been waiting for my snowblower to break so I can make one of these. Bought it new in 1997 and it still works great. Oh well. I guess that’s what you get when you take care of your equipment.

Thanks for video. I thought I had an original thought about doing the same but then you made it first. Thanks a bunch for video as now maybe I can even improve on your build.

Do you think it would move a 5x10 700 lb utility trailer in uneven grass even up a small hill. Where I store my trailer is in back yard behind garage and can't get a vehicle back there.

I have a '73 John Deere 7 hp and it helped nudge a car out of a ditch the only thing I would do if replaced the drive friction disk if the old one is worn out or damaged..
I'd also weld on the outside of the chassis not the inside so you can use it as a snot blower in the winter again...

my only criticism is you boxed in the access to all the mechanicals. Your component should have bolted in at the bottom and had provisions for a pivot like clevis pins at the top so you could have hinged it open to service the belts and pulleys.

That's an awful lot of dolly for such a small trailer. I have a 4x12 cargo trailer that's about 1500 pounds empty and I wonder if it would move it with a small hill similar to the one in this video

I guess when you build yours you can use case hardened bolts...if you ever actually build anything...hind sight is 20 20...maybe you should learn to be more respectful with your suggestions...just sayin...
