Finally, a case that isn’t dogs, cars, landlords, and roommates. Part 2!
Hahaa but suing family…..
Agreed.
or about car scams lol
😂 funny perspective, love it!
Also not about girlfriend and boyfriend or exes
I swear, Byrd learned how to sleep standing up
He needed to go. If I had a sh*t attitude all day and was falling asleep on the job, I’d expect my employer to fire me
@@Michelle-bc7tlis that why he left? Lol
@Saintsrow1824 nah he got locked up lol
@@ZayS2020 I think that was Renard Spivey from a couple other court shows. Byrd is on one of other JJ's shows.
His job IS boring
Mom gets a million dollar settlement Monday. Tuesday she finds every friend and family member she has not seen in 30 years at her front door.
I am mother's long lost son who was kidnapped from the hospital at birth. She will pay my bills.
They wouldn't have known she had the money is she had not called everybody!!
@@nisinisi4627 Naaah- she only had to tell 1- flakes can sniff money from across the country.
@@nisinisi4627If mom can’t get around she probably needed someone to take her to doctors and attorneys appointments related to the lawsuit
Should have kept quiet about the money
Legend has it, JJ is still trying to figure out how the money she gave her was for a job change 😂
😅😅
😂😂
She was prolly living paycheck to paycheck and was going to be short for bills esp if you don't get paid every week and only twice a week or once a month 😩 and some extra $$ would help her not be behind.
😂😂😂
😅😅😂😂
I think its weird when people don’t dress appropriately for court.
I actually see it as a sign of disrespect, everybody has at least a "Sunday best".... but some of the people on this show, stand infront of a mirror, and say "yep! thats it!".
Its America no one cares slovenly, slopoy
She’s not even wearing the regular length shirt that she normally does to acquire that wicked farmers tan. Looks like she’s about to do chores dressed like that.
Some people are poor, stop judging people.
@@MsJasperr Because everybody can afford a 500$ outfit?
Defendant didn't think JJ would request that much details. She already had a story concocted in her head 😂
And her story ended in a firey crash on JJ's desk😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😅😂
That's why Judy asks questions and goes her way - to get off script, to the truth.
She's entitled. She is under the assumption that since her mother came into a great sum of money, she should take care of everyone and not expect to be paid back for anything.
100000% correct, she's like 50 but still with that teenager mindset
I mean but why sue your child if your not hurting it’s just not something a parent should do
@@Mysticalbeing.xx444Because children need to be taught lessons no matter how old they are. I can't stand entitled people .
@@lavinder11 lol man whatever I’m sure you don’t even have kid’s.Parents like her should be ashamed to drag their child on a show for a few thousand dollars take it as a loss and don’t give again simple.
@@lavinder11 Shut up you dont know anyones situation.
If your daughter needs help with a 23 dollar certification, you should consider a larger sum of money a gift, because waiting for that money to be repaid will be a waste of time.
When JJ says "I'm curious" it's a trap. She knows you lying😅
Plead the 5th.
JJ: Do you work?
Def: A LOT 😏
Proceeds to say my mother paid $23 on my behalf
Why is it people expect part of a settlement like they are entitled to it? I’m going through that right now.
Human nature. " You got it free,so share it with me" and they resent you very much and hold it against you forever, if you don't oblige!
Can I have some money?
I think it's different from when it's your kids
I need a job change... what can you do for me?
Oh wow… so tiring - just change your phone.
As a parent myself, I can’t believe the mom is suing her daughter. If i had a million dollars and my daughter needed a one time help, I would most definitely help her. Have we fallen that far that we can’t help our own children without looking for payback? Geesh.
Parents paying for their children while they're in their forties is what's wrong with our society today.
It's one thing to do a gift(I do) and another to have a sound send entitled child who takes you for granted. That's what she did.
Thats my mom, I want to go to college soon but she keeps begging me and my sister for money just for little things
Some parents can be quite petty and hinder the growth of their children.
Mostly this don't happen in India. Parents always help their kids.
This defendant has no shame 😮
That money is to take care of mom. If it was that much of fall, she'll need care, treatment and medication for a long time or even the rest of her life. Don't feel entitled to people's money regardless how much they have. It's theirs not yours. Pay your mama lady.
JJ face at 0:43 when the defendant said absolutely was priceless 😂😂😅
Was looking for this comment 😅
Omg thanks for the time stamp! That face was priceless! 😂😵💫🙄😜🧿🪬🤪😳
Yeess! I was looking to see if anyone was gonna comment on that.
Thanks for pointing that out I went back and saw it LOL😯🤣
I think she assumed that since the mother came into the big windfall, it was a gift, but it seems the mother didn’t think so and wants the money back. If it was me, I would repay it and count it as a life lesson.
So this mother neglects her health, eats herself into a blimp, then falls, and gets a million dollar settlement. And some people say laziness doesn’t pay.
Lmao 😂
Eats herself into a blimp
@@candicemirisha912 OK goodyear blimp.
😂
@@candicemirisha912perfect analogy.
Never lend money to family that you are not willing to otherwise gift to them.
Tomorrow, I'm going to go fall down on somebody else's property.
0:40 JJ's face changing when she said "Absolutely." is just so funny !
As soon as the defendant started to talk, she sounded defensive and with a huge attitude problem.
I can’t believe she is laughing at this. She already lost 😂
No doubt in my mind, all that settlement money from 2016 is long gone.
😂
Why is she grinning inanely??
that money belongs to the mom.... this daughter is horrible. Sad that the mother has to deal with a daughter full of greed.
She been driving trucks for 13years and asking her mother for money
So sad when people accept money and then say, "she has the money to spare, I don't need to repay her". If you can't work for the rest of your life, a million dollars is not as much as you think. If the Plaintiff has 30 years left(to live), she really doesn't have a great deal of money. Less than 35k a year. And that's if the Plaintiff didn't make any large purchase to begin with after receiving the settlement. The daughter is selfish AF.
EDIT TO ADD: Part 3 reveals all😂.
Yes this
Exactly. She saw dollar signs when her mom got her settlement. And she probably had to use some of it to pay for her medical bills. She’s greedy and thought my mom got a million dollars so I deserve some of it too.
A certified financial advisor can invest to stretch that money for much longer, allowing a person to live primarily off the principal. If Mom got even 5% interest on her money, she would have $50,000 per year plus her widow's pension and the million dollars would still be there her whole life, earning more.
actually if the person is smart, you can do alot with a million... invest it wisely so you can live comfortably... but even dumbasses when they win the lottery, they blow the money within the year and there back to square one.....investing yea is the only way, otherwise, yes, you cant do much with it with this screwed up high ass inflation anymore....
@@wintercame Unless she had to pay off medical bills, pay to have her home modified to accommodate a new disability, also probably pay off her home, perhaps buy a new car to replace a junker, etc....yes that much money could change her life, but it goes fast, and she may not have enough left to be able to live off the principal.
bet that money is all gone, lol
And I bet that’s why she’s now asking for it back.
God I would have HATED to be around her when she found out about her moms money. She was prolly so obnoxious.
I'm only at the beginning & am hung up on a >million-dollar settlement for a [bad] fall, in the mid-2010's. In late 2019, in a motor vehicle accident, I was broad-sided by a car that ran a stop sign that resulted in 5 broken bones, including 3 in my neck (which I was later told is usually fatal) & my sternum, along with some permanent injuries & still-ongoing physical therapy. My settlement was ~$170,000.
It depends on the company, lawyer and what they're willing to settle for
@@lucylucy2171it also depends on the law of the state
Suing car insurance (assumed) vs suing some establishments… THE LIMITS ON BODILY INJURY IS DIFFERENT‼️
Circus. The mother finally fell down somewhere that didn't have cameras and she took 'em for a ride. Scammers, both of 'em.
Million dollar mom probably going broke
“Absolutely”

“$23”
Is she kidding?? Truckers make excellent money if they are good at the job! And with all of the non-stop safety inspections that semi trucks and trailers have to go through, I highly doubt she was pulling anything that wasn’t safe.
If Mom wants her to be a scientist, she’ll first need to pay for a brain transplant. And a toothbrush.
😂😂😂
I like how Judy can read the room and sense the high emotions in the daughter and parent and doesn't raise her voice, talking slowly and methodically
Mommy can't stand and daughter is following closely behind.
These people with their inability to answer basic questions is so maddening. Smh.
What is wrong with this defendent, she can't answer a very simple question!!
Trainee politician
Twenty three dollars to change her life? 😂😂
Right?! 😆
Daughter is ungrateful
Low class hick clown daughter thinks a million dollars is a lot of money, an opportunity to leach some. That is what low class hick clowns do.
How did people know she had the money?? She called everybody!! dangling the carrot!!
I believe she gave the money to her daughter. When the DV situation between daughter and bf happened and daughter didn't leave him, mom got pissed off and took her to court.
$500 dollars for books??? Shows how long it’s been since Judy’s been in school 😮💨🥴
$500 covered my books per semester
@@MsDulcecandy87fan “87” makes sense boomer. It’s like 700 bucks for 2 books now and that’s only half of it
@@MsDulcecandy87fan yes, I just graduated in 2022 and that’s about the average price for a semester. Though now-a-days, you can pay a little less by getting used books, renting books, or using ebooks.
I try to help my daughter out with cash all the time. In the end I had to hide some money in her cosmetic bag to make sure she could buy a few good meals. She never forgave me. She pays all her own money and now checks I haven't left money hidden for her.
Daughter sounds like she’s about to cry 🙁
Right she looks like an idiot. IDK if she is trying not to cry or trying not to laugh
The defendant smiling while explaining her job change is unsettling
Omg I thought I was the only one getting uncomfortable with the smiling 😂
Why couldnt the daughter pay for her own enhancement?
You cannot ask the same question 3 different ways and expect a different answer. Thought it was pretty obvious "she paid my bills" ... js
That truck driver is a damn lie,,,they do make money,,even if they don't do alot of hours
Those four women should stop fighting.
The defendant is exhausting!
If for 13 years all that was standing between her and a better paying, less hazardous job was $23, either she is an addict, or extremely lazy. You could save a dime a day and pay that in less than a year.
And how is hauling propane and other explosives 🧨 any safer?
Hauling those materials pays a lot. Also does hauling tandem trailers.

I’m never using the words “job change” ever 😂
She quits her job two days before starting a new one. It happens to me every Friday night and I start again on Monday. Why would mum pay her bills? For rhe two days lapse?
you can tell the defendant is so used to get away with anything with her lies. Not gonna work on JJ though
the look on JJ face 😂😂😂😂😂 0:45
This mom would just give my daughter whatever she needed...plus a whole lot more...she is my daughter, nothing more precious than my children. 💗💙
Two minutes of questions and ended up being something that costs 23 dollars. 😐

whenever they don't bring papers, you know they really don't care
My jaw dropped when she said “because he’s black” this girl has issues Fr bc why would you even say that 😭😅
This is what money does to people…defendant seems jealous because mom has all that money
$1m?? Dang, i wanna fall too

Why would the defendant bring up her mom's settlement,,now the whole world knows
Exactly .
Omg just say she supported you while you were in between jobs!!!
I like this case.
If you are dodging the question, you lying!!!
A million dollar payout. Not too shabby.
Never seen such a bad liar as the defendant!!
I love Judge Judy
I hate how family members think when someone receives money it is a grab fest.
Wish I could get so lucky to “fall” and collect a million dollars. 😒
Be careful what you wish for! Who knows what kind of pain, immobility, etc she’ll deal with for the rest of her life and that ain’t worth a mill
It's obvious you don't understand law/lawsuits. The injuries she had to suffer for that kind of payout must have been horrible.
JJ’s the hammer and defendant is the nail... give it up lady because there isn’t nothing you can say that is going to sway JJ from driving home her point , you owe the money back!
😂😂😂
"Because he's black?". Is she seriously calling JJ a racist?
Love Judge Judy
A million? She looks like she got 100 dollars in her account
Not everyone who has significant money spends their money like they have significant money. And the way she "looks" has literally nothing to do with the amount of money she has. You sound ridiculous.
The Mama don't mind helping her daughter, to a point, more than likely she don't want to help her a.. woopin boyfriend, an help him with his back child support.
Nhin co gai ay cuoi la toi cam thay thuc su hanh phuc roi va toi cam thay co y la vui ve khi nhin thay toi va no mot nu cuoi that la than thien
Up to the 3:55 mark, it seems Mom only needed to offer her daughter $23 for the HazMat endorsement. If the daughter worked up until 2 days prior to a job change, she was still earning her living to pay her own bills. … Maybe part 2 will make more sense. ; )
What is this big sum of money? That’s what I want to know. Because if she got one million settlement minus taxes and attorney fees, plus medical fees, then why is she suing her daughter for what she can only get back is 5k through this court.🤔
Principle of the matter I guess. Personally I would have just cut my losses and not give any more money before it ruins the relationship further.
Tally of defendant's favorite crutch word, "oh absolutely": 03
People who smile like the defendant scare me
Three years ago my son's now ex-wife walked out on him and their 2 young daughters and all their animals.. We were all shocked and heart broken. They had just bought a nice(big) house. I didn't want him or my granddaughters to lose their home so I offered to move in with them to help with the bills and the girls. He was afraid to tell me and ask me to move in. The look of relief on his face let me know I made the right choice. We help each other and it works. Knowing he and the girls are ok is all I need.
First thing I’d do if I got a million + settlement would be help my children/family as much as I could reasonably do. You never see a uhaul trailer behind a hurst.
That's your mother's money! Stop pocket watching
Who comes up with these titles 😂
how does she not understand?
she gave her the STABILITY to be able to CHANGE jobs
Over a million $ settlement?! Dang. How hard did humpty dumpty fall?!?
The one thing that I would never do is sue my mum dad or sister never in a million years
You don't have 23.00?!????
And the daughter thinks she's entitled to a ton of it.
The face the daughter made at 3:36
JJ kills me , “don’t tell me what she said” proceeds to say “tell me what your mother said to you on the phone” 😂 doesn’t she always say the hearsay 😂
Don’t think it is hearsay if the “mother “ was present in court- and can be questioned on the evidence by the daughter, if necessary.
It's only hearsay if it's someone who is not in the court to verify the statements.
The mother is there, anything she said can be stated.
A cousin or such who is not in the court but may have been involved cannot be quoted.
Did we really just go through 2:26 of part 1 for $23.00?
I see without going into the story, mom got hurt, mom got a big insurance settlement, mom got a million dollars, Daughter wanted some of that money, got it and does not want to pay the LOAN back, for she thinks was a gift. Bam. Got it.
Judy can sure ramble on. Let the lady speak.
Lunch crew sound off. Bagel with Jalapeno cream cheese
Good choice. Yum. I'm having bagel, lox, cream cheese.
