- Quick walk around tour of our homemade hot dog cart we set up daily in central Alabama. We built this from a pattern off of hot dog profits. Com. Built mostly from Home Depot and harbor freight. Had fun building still having fun selling.
its lovely. great job, im just about to embark in trying a hot dog business in the uk, thiis would be my ideal cart thanks for sharing
Wayne, I got them from hotdogprofits.com changed a few things for what I had. it cost about $800.00 and paid for investment in the first 8 hours in business. love it..
Man you built you a great cart! I would love to build one like that! I'm starting to try and find a cart tomorrow! Scared but excited! Thanks for sharing!
So how did it work out 2 years later ? I want to try
still selling 400+ hot dogs a day and loving it..
Oh God I'm trying to build a cart for my daughter I don't know how I'ma pull this off
Don't quit, you can pay it off the 1st week in the buisness..
Sweet cart! Where did you get the plans for it?
Great looking cart.. Hi I’m down the road in Auburn and really want a hot dog stand in my area. How much was your cart build?? Been looking to buy 1 but they’re really expensive. Thank you and God Bless.
How did you secure the steam pan sink basins to what I'm assuming is a Formica top? Did you just silicone them in place or did you secure them from underneath somehow. I've got my cart 90% finished, but I'm worried that the sinks won't stay in place with the trailer bouncing down the road using just silicone to hold them in. Nice job on the cart and graphics by the way.
Thank you for asking I just run a thick beat of silicone and put a heavy brick on it overnight and that done it. Also my hand washing is a stainless steel mixing bowl from Walmart and I attached it the same way.
@@AndrewSalinaspastor Thank you for the reply. As the last of my components trickle in, and I get close to my health inspection, the sinks were the one place I was scratching my head.
Did you use FRP or White Aluminum on the counter tops? Nice job!
thats so unique..👷🏾
Thank you, we really have a lot of fun with it..
Nice cart nice truck in the background
thank you, have lots of fun with it..
How much did it cost
I spent about a total of $800. I bought the lawn mower trailer from harbor freight for $156 and the rest of it is 2x2s and Luan and house paint. Also I ordered a hot water heater and I picked up two tanks from Walmart for water tank and the drop tank. It's painted with house paint and it's held up pretty good for the last 6 years.
Excellent job. What did you use for your steam table? I can't find any info on how to build one myself.
I bought a Coleman two burner stove and took it apart. I took some sheet metal and bit made a box and two strips of aluminum railing for the top.
What trailer did you use to build off of?
Thank you for the video and a very nice job on the cart. You look like you've got a great setup. I am considering doing something like this. Do you have a good flow of customers where you set up? What all was involved in getting the proper documentation to open for business?
go to www.hotdogprofits.com and check with your local health department.
You did a great job on that cart. How do I know in my area what to charge for a hot dog? Or what to charge for say a dog chips and a drink ? Thank you God-bless
Thank you, there was no other hot dog vendors in town so I just came up with a good even number. $5 for a combo, two hot dogs, one drink, one chip. Figure out what it cost you to make one hot dog total and then double or triple that price. I have a lot of fun and sell a lot of hot dogs. This is almost 4 years into the business and I have two hot dog carts and we have a lot of fun.
Nice job Sonny, real nice!
where u get your folding sign?
yard sale for $5.00
where did you get the plans for the cart? Nice job..
Very nice home made cart! Thanks for sharing your setup with us!
Where did you find your water heater?
Very nice cart. Great visual. Hope you do well
Great cart. Congrats 😁 building my own now, what material did u use? KR
2x2 for the frame and 1/4 for all the sides. How is you cart coming along?
Good job
No Coleman cooler will EVER STAY 0degrees 😂😂😂😂😂 super lie fail!
just add ice cream salt anything is possible NEVER GIVE UP
all my food is frozen when I put it in there. Its only for 4hours, so its all good. the health dept loves it..
Ty
Nice job. Did you do the graphics or are they stick on ?
I have a small vinyl cutting machine and I cut all the graphics myself.
Andrew, How has you hot dog business been doing? Any changes made to the cart since the video?
Onioncasserole thank you for asking, really have had a good time with it. I still run it 3 days a week and we still have the same cards same setup except I've added a larger tent a generator and a fan. And we serve about 200 to 300 people a day.
Have you considered an fridge that runs on LP?
@@onioncasserole9498 no I buy that Coleman Xtreme cooler for about $40 from Walmart and it'll keep ice for eight or nine hours. And I'm only usually out there for about 4 hours so it doesn't pretty good job for me.
Nice job on you cart build.
rameyg305 Thanks, had a lot of fun building, having even more fun selling..

I have a small vinyl cutting machine and I cut all the graphics myself.

Yes it is...
Excellent job on the build! Been wanting to do this for a couple of years. I have the plans for the hot dog profits cart. We just haven't got started. Been selling cotton candy at local fall fairs, but wanted to branch out a bit with the hot dog cart.
now is a great time to get started. cool weather doesn't slow them down at all. people still love them pipping hot dogs.
