I can't understand why this series is being slept on. It's such a shame that it's being shown at the same time as the current obsessions Word Of Honor and We Best Love (2 of my current favs too) because it's brilliant. I hope it starts showing up in people's recommendations because it deserves so much more love than it's getting right now.
Totally agree. I'm quite surprise too how low-key this drama is. If it wasn't recommended in UA-cam, probably wouldn't discover this gem. This show is a rollar coaster ride. One minute I cherish their happy moments and next minute I'm like crying at all their tragic scenes. At the rate the drama is going, I have a bad feeling it will have a bad ending. All the actors have great chemistry and their acting is on point. They all fit the characters they portray. Plus shout out to the scriptwriter and production crew, they did a great job. All of them need more recognition and appreciation than this.
I agree too... This drama is great (and the 2 other are my fav too) I think its kinda lucky that WOH haven't been aired completly (well.. with subs, I think the show have finished) I switch between K&H and WOH 🥰

I tried to recommend it as much as possible on the Word of Honor comments in March. I love Killer and Healer and Word of Honor, but yes - I wish they had both gotten equal attention. Killer and Healer is amazing!

My guess is that wuxia and modern is for broader audience. Winter Begonia with it's strong focus on Peking Opera appeals to an older audience, and I'm thinking it's very similar for republican era dramas in general. I agree, both dramas were insanely good and I enjoy every rewatch :>

It is very common for Chinese actors to be multi- talented - act, sing, dance, play some instruments. Many of the usual faces you see on chinese drama land can sing well and a few can sing as well as, if not better than, some professional singers.
I came here because of the song. After rewatch the series twice then I just realized that this song is really touching and beautiful. For me, this series is a master piece and each characters are very memorable. It's just a pity in the end that a good and well-rounded person like Dr. Chen should live a long life and live happily for himself, but it wasn't as hoped. Also, I feel sorry for Jiang Youlou who had to endure with the feeling that Dr. Chen is no longer by his side ☹️. However, the story line was very well done and the actors conveyed the emotions of the characters very well. It's a series that makes me want to come back and watch it again and again.

This series is my favorite one because the story line is smooth and worth following to watch every episode. plus I love action and justice series like this so for me a 100% love this series. Also have you watched the Guardian---a fantasy Chinese series. This one is one of my favorite series as well...🙂

They really did great in Killer and Healer..You can really feel the connection between this 2 characters (Yuelou x Yuzhi) through them..I fell in love with the series and all it's characters from 1st ep til the last..I hope this gem of a series would get the attention it really deserves..much love from Philippines..💙💙💙

This is so beautiful, my heart TT I came here after watching the whole drama, their chemistry is undeniable, this drama will forever have a place in my heart. One of the best drama series I've seen so far. The chemistry between these two leads is phenomenal or I should say exceptional. It's what keeps you hooked to this show. The music is also very soothing. The plot has it's ups and downs, but still it's not as bad as some of the popular cliche shows. Yue Lou and Yu Zhi will always have a special place in my heart. Hope they'd reunite in some other universe and have a happy life together. 💛💛
