Absolutely beautiful finds! Out here in North America, the Fly Agaric can be a good indicator for King Boletes being in the area. Best of luck out there - hope those Kings continue to fill your basket in the days ahead!
beautiful finds! This video made me want to go for some mushroom hunting next weekend so if it happens I really hope my basket will be similar to yours
Awesome video Luke nice hunting! I found my first Beefsteak fungus of the year today! it was very young and small growing on an Oak tree, I left it hoping to return when it's grown bigger, do you think this was a good idea? and do you have any idea how long I should wait before returning? And the photo book looks amazing, I would love to have your pictures as a wallpaper or screensaver.
Thank you! I don't dare to say how long it could take for the beef steak fungus to grow enough. It also depends how often it's possible for you to go and check. If you can get there every day, then it would be easy. If not, then it may be more about luck :)
@@LukesMushrooms Thanks Luke I wasn't sure if you knew how long the growth cycle is for them. I will check in 2 days because there is hunting in that area tomorrow and monday :(

@@LukesMushrooms Less than I hoped for, but I made a great meal nonetheless!

👍👍
How do you prepare your birch boletes? Here in North America some people say they are toxic. Great video as always!
I usually dehydrate them and put in a mix with other species. I didn't hear anything like that, will try to research a bit.

Ok. In 2 days you will be able to see the progress and maybe also estimate when it could be "ready" :)
I would try in three days
