I know that at the end of the day it's a business, a big business at that, and he can't protect every artist he has from the system, but I like that he tries to care for them, at least.
What an invaluable and personal retrospective from 1st gen legends. That they have decades-long history with each other made for a wonderfully flowing repartee. It was also so refreshing to see them get so “hyped” over the old soulful ballads, in contrast to the explosive jams that get all the attention nowadays.
I also really appreciated the running theme (intended or not) of their lifetime of perspectives of adapting Korean-Americans and American/Western music to build an industry in Korea, and now addressing the challenges and successes of re-exporting the transformed product back to Western markets.
Tbh, as much as i am not pleased with how some of the things happened with previous artists, i am always thankful that ALL of JYP artists, past and present ones are all holistically developed. They are all good people, they have manners, they know how to treat the people around them.
Jyp treats his artist well and seeing twice and stray kids succeeding is amazing, seling out stadiums especially. best part he didn't say one artist who is doing well but other artists as well he didn't want to hurt the jyp artist feelings
wow this episode is prolly by far my favorite ep ive never seen this side of jyp the relationship and chemistry between the 3 of you was very relaxing i couldn’t stop smiling i really enjoyed this a lot
I'm relatively new to K-Pop (less than 6 month). Watching this really makes me curious about the earlier generations of the genre. I'll definitely be researching JPYs catalog. Mad respect for the integrity in the training program. Of course, training and producing is a business, but this man is there for the artistry and music above all. Mad respect!
JYP~! Just the person I wanted to see. He looks still young, charming, energetic, passionate and shiny. Thank you for inviting him to this show. I am so glad to see them share their memories😊
Such a good episode 😂😂😂 JYP ended up just coaching them to perform his own song is so funny. Forever the top papa producer of kpop. This is so so good. I’m so glad I found this show. The pocha vibe is just so good and so fitting for Brian and Joon and it makes the guest experience so much better
Trully respect JYP, the way he created his artist , how he motivates them. Ive always love JYP NATION, bcause seeing all them, it doesnt feel like artist, it feel like A FAMILY!!
This was such a fun episode. I recently have become a K-pop stan because of my daughter, but k-pop brings me back to when I was a teenager. I think that's why I resonate with it so much now. I do appreciate and respect the work ethic, as my daughter wants to debut when she gets older, and it's (work ethic) is great to aspire to. I had a great time getting to know JYP, and it's comforting to know that JYP Entertainment would be a great company to work for.
One thing I would forever respect about JYP is that he dances to the beat of his drum and he hasn't changed!! I love that. He actually inspires me!!❤❤❤
From what I have seen in his interviews, he has a heart of gold. I don't know how to articulate this, but his presents in the music scene and as a business man has inspired me. If you listened to him talk, the way he articulates his philosophy and engages with the questions asked, it's inspiring. He's so involved in the work he does and involved in his own life (knows himself well). He is a well-rounded individual. This is random, but I realized that I do not listen to the artist under his entertainment company, but I do listen to it with some of his music. I love the free vibe of his music (both the recent releases and older ballads of his)
The interview was great. I have always liked J.Y.P. because of how he has and always will treat the artists working under the company. BTW, Yes! PLEASE bring Chan and Felix to the show. It will surely get many views. I mean, I know that these interviews are not for the purpose of only getting views, but like, people will enjoy it as much as they did watching this video.
I'm from Brazil and my daughters like BTS and Stray Kids, but when I saw JYP singing Sweet Dreams I said, my God!!!! This man is Kpop's top of the pops! I'll be a fan right away!! JYP❤
I got into Kpop through Wonder Girls. I have a lot of bitter feelings regarding what happened to Wonder Girls, but I always appreciated how JYP himself viewed his artists as human beings and not as products. It's obvious from the way he speaks about JYPE's training criteria and system that it's more than making money but also preparing the kids to be good people outside the entertainment industry. I still remember when Sunmi was having a hard time and had to drop out of Wonder Girls. Instead of abandoning her, JYP still supported her to become the solo artist she is today. I don't think JYP is perfect, but he's a good person who wears his heart and passion on his sleeve.
JYP is the true definition of a hard worker but getting the rewards and, he's right. K-Pop till back then was nothing in the US and was a blip outside of Korea itself. However.. Everything changed around 2006-2008. Wonder Girls somehow, broke into the US market and started revolutionizing everything, even being the 1st K-Pop group, ever, to graze the Billboard Top 100 and not only that, broke records for Singles sold for the year at the top spot being the 1st K-Pop group or singers to ever do so in the US and... Surprise surprise.. That was JYP's work also. Then following Wonder Girls's success, another group broke into the US market and got real hot and that's SNSD. Their initial push wasn't into the US but the made waves and smashed the Japanese market, being one of the most famous groups till date that started the true breakthrough of K-Pop to the Asian markets at least as a way that K-Pop will not stagnate only in Korea alone with Gee, Genie, Run Devil Run, Kissing You all making waves outside of their home country and cementing both them and SM Entertainment as giants in the industry for years to come. However, it didn't reach till Psy broke the global market with Gangnam Style that K-Pop fully gained traction and glazed the entire industry to bits that K-Pop CAN actually dominate charts and even take Hollywood singers out of contention. That's how strong K-Pop had become. But still, if JYP didn't try with Wonder Girls or even in some sense, g.o.d, none of what the others did will happen. He took Wonder Girls to that market and opened the floodgates for others to follow.
would love to see seventeen's vernon and joshua, kard's bm, btob's peniel, skz's chan and felix, day6's young k, 2pm's taecyeon and nichkun, got7's bambam jackson and mark, &team's maki and nicholas, nct's johnny mark, wayv's ten and yangyang, enhypen's jake and jay
I started being amazed with JYP when I encountered one of his video preaching - "First fruit", it made so much sense to me why he is a good person, his faith in God determined his values and the culture in JYPE. One very interesting fact in their trainee system is that character is also being evaluated in their monthly trainings just like dancing and singing. The other thing is that how much he values health by providing a cafeteria serving organic food that is free for all their employees. That's insane.
TO BE HONEST JOON AND BRIAN TOGETHER AS MC IS SO PERFECT ❤❤😂 GIVE A RAISE FOR WHO EVER COMBINING THEM TOGETHER LOVE HOW JYP'S CARES for his IDOLS AS HUMAN BEING too not only for business AND TAKING CARE OF THEM IDK HE COULD SPEAK FLUENTLY IN ENG 😮
This should be shown what JYP is like as a person He said “ I care, I care”, “They’re somebody’s kids” With all the news of entertainment agencies in scandalous acts. JYP ent remain untouchable, truly is the best leader of entertainment industry ❤
The company is established by values. I remember the reality show on choosing the TWICE members and NiziU, Jin-Young was always about attitude. In JYPE monthly training evaluation, attitude is also included on the scores. JYPE artists are known as one of the respectful Korean artists.
I love the chemistry of Joon Park and JYP it's entertaining also outstanding. Their conversation about back in the day, when he was G.O.D and training and JY just lecture him about his pronunciations. Then now, they just laugh at great memories. Much respect!
Had so much fun watching this episode! Please invite Stray Kids (ALL 8 members) to BYOB, their unhinged, unfiltered chaotic ass energy matches perfectly with Brian and Joon! GIVE THEM ALL FREEDOM TO CUSS IN KOREAN AND ENGLISH, UNCENSORED. IT'S NOT A WANT, IT'S A NEED. (P.S. Stray Kids should do the Hot Challenge, I KNOW HALF OF THEM CANNOT TOLERATE SUPER SPICY FOODS. Just to see which members of SKZ are the most potty mouthed) IT WOULD BE A BLAST! 💀💀💀💀
I love how this interview in English highlights his personality while also reflects his attitudes toward his idols: friendly, candid, good communication.
i’ve always been a fan of jyp because he’s funny and doesnt care what other people think. i’ve never been a blind stan of everything he does but this really does fill out his personality. i feel like it could help a lot of people understand why he does things

The love and respect between everyone is palpable. Looking forward to more episodes!
omg JY got Brian to sing!! I didn't realize how much I needed that. Fly to the Sky feelsssss
I used to think that Jyp was a very scary, and strict person but after watching this I feel a different way towards him, and I saw a side of him that I have not seen before. This episode made me laugh, it made me say “aww” a lot, and it showed me how genuine their friendship is with him.
You should watch him in the variety show that he plays basketball. He was so funny
20:07 this just goes to show that JYP and JYPE are two different things. JYP has been a really good mentor and producer and has been in good terms with all of his idols, even the past ones. But just cause he's the founder probably doesn't mean he can control everything.
JYP is the GOAT.. he's down to earth and deserves to be loved and respect as a CEO/Entertainer and as a Person.. I never hate that guy... He's proud of his artist.. You can feel that when he talked about them..
The respect i have for JYP is so high. This guy is one of the greatest South Korean artists ever, hands down
as an ahgase,i can still remember the times when JYP brought jacksons parents to the variety show when Jackson is still a rookie and couldnt meet up with his parents often.
Something in my soul got healed thx to this episode.
I don't know what it was, but the atmosphere was really good, and relaxing,
+ JYP's English was really impressive.
Brian sang so happily again, yaaas! ❤😍
Joon and JYP being bffs - priceless.
Okay this is my favorite JYP talk ever, it really shows another light of the person he is. Say what you will but out of all the entertainments, JYP is really something else. Really enjoyed this in all English. I hope to see Chan and Felix on here!
you can really tell jyp is a man of value, damn those book recommendations!
JYP is 1st gen. G.O.D. Is more 1.5 Gen. Fly to sky is 2nd Gen. 1st Gen starts probably in 1992-the early 90s.
Oh you know just JYP things where he can suddenly translate his Korean song into English. The man has so many talents
Tbh, as much as i am not pleased with how some of the things happened with previous artists, i am always thankful that ALL of JYP artists, past and present ones are all holistically developed. They are all good people, they have manners, they know how to treat the people around them.
This was a good episode!!!! You can see JYP in a different side that is more humane rather than the CEO/celebrity side of him... such wholesome ep!!
Jyp treats his artist well and seeing twice and stray kids succeeding is amazing, seling out stadiums especially. best part he didn't say one artist who is doing well but other artists as well he didn't want to hurt the jyp artist feelings
Brian's still got it!! 🎤🎶🎵
I am very much surprise and in awe that JYP is very eloquent in his choice of words..while having this very enjoyable convo… love this trio…❤❤
wow this episode is prolly by far my favorite ep ive never seen this side of jyp the relationship and chemistry between the 3 of you was very relaxing i couldn’t stop smiling i really enjoyed this a lot
박진영이 진짜 알게모르게 많이 챙겨줬구나 명절때 자기집으로 친구 부르는거 쉽지않은데 감동이다 인간냄새나
Such a good episode 😂😂😂 JYP ended up just coaching them to perform his own song is so funny. Forever the top papa producer of kpop. This is so so good. I’m so glad I found this show. The pocha vibe is just so good and so fitting for Brian and Joon and it makes the guest experience so much better
Wow when jyp made the statement "he cared they are somebody's kids" wow he literally broke down ❤❤
Love seeing old friends meet up. It felt like both Brian and Joon were most like their private/off work personalities and it was heartwarming to see
Trully respect JYP, the way he created his artist , how he motivates them.
Ive always love JYP NATION, bcause seeing all them, it doesnt feel like artist, it feel like A FAMILY!!
브라이언 잠깐이지만 노래 불렀을때 음색 좋다.. 환경이 도와주니까 편하게 노래도 불러지는구나👍👍
what a nice episode! JYP was so animated, I really enjoy his and Joon's past stories!
Just make sure that she becomes a good person before she debut too.
Please invited Young K from DAY6🙏🏻
It would be extra fun with two Brians on the show!!!
I want whole Day6 members in the show
너무 바빠서 못올것같음 ㅋ
This is also what I thought earlier when JYP was asked. But I think Young K is more of a good boy for this show, lol
Joon and JYP. I need more of them if possible. Their interactions are insane.
One thing I would forever respect about JYP is that he dances to the beat of his drum and he hasn't changed!! I love that. He actually inspires me!!❤❤❤
3 Legends in 1 show let's goo!!!
The only Entertainment company owner with 0 beef 0 issues Stan JYP
Es un buen sueño ojalá algún dia
@@charlitourcgtc.u4445 he has zero beef with anyone 🤣
Twice has been selling stadiums arounds the world and still going strong in their 10th year! MORE LOVE TO TWICE ❤
This is why I like the culture in JYPE.. Thank you so much PD-nim❤❤❤
16:30 he is such a good human! JYP have all my respect!!! I can’t express in words
I'm from Brazil and my daughters like BTS and Stray Kids, but when I saw JYP singing Sweet Dreams I said, my God!!!! This man is Kpop's top of the pops! I'll be a fan right away!! JYP❤
19:00 "they sold out sofi" he sounds like a proud father ❤
Omg PLEASE bring Chan and Felix on the show! They would be perfect! Also Young K from Day6 would be amazing! ❤️❤️❤️
외로웠던 시절, 우리 쭌오빠의 친구가 되어줘서 고마워요 jyp 🩵 신곡 이지러버 도 대박나시길!!
They seem to have gone back to the vibe and charm of their prime
It was great to see the witty and respectful conversation between the three of them
I enjoyed watching Brian sing with JYP and Joon. It was nice to see them having so much fun!
What a heartwarming episode ❣. You can really see the mutual love and respect between them, you love to see it!
I love this new format so so much!!! Let this series never end pls!!! I love this interviews so so much 😭💓
JYP is the true definition of a hard worker but getting the rewards and, he's right.
Just look at MAMA2024 having one day in US. Unthinkable back in those days.
JYP가 브라이언 보컬 레슨 해주는 걸 다 보게 되네😂 브라이언 노래하는 거 많이 들을 수 있어서 넘 좋다❤
Loved this episode!!!!!!!! Best one yet!!!!!!! Love seeing JYP and Joon together talking about history and tell stories from back in the days
Best episode yet. I enjoyed every minute and was smiling the entire time. It was so wholesome. And who doesn't love a little JYP!
would love to see seventeen's vernon and joshua, kard's bm, btob's peniel, skz's chan and felix, day6's young k, 2pm's taecyeon and nichkun, got7's bambam jackson and mark, &team's maki and nicholas, nct's johnny mark, wayv's ten and yangyang, enhypen's jake and jay
Love all these recs!
TO BE HONEST JOON AND BRIAN TOGETHER AS MC IS SO PERFECT ❤❤😂 GIVE A RAISE FOR WHO EVER COMBINING THEM TOGETHER
LOVE HOW JYP'S CARES for his IDOLS AS HUMAN BEING too not only for business AND TAKING CARE OF THEM
IDK HE COULD SPEAK FLUENTLY IN ENG 😮
This should be shown what JYP is like as a person
He said “ I care, I care”, “They’re somebody’s kids”
With all the news of entertainment agencies in scandalous acts.
You know what… JYP has a good mindset. It sounds strict, but that made him and his singers successful until today. He is amazing 👍🏻
Just to see which members of SKZ are the most potty mouthed)
IT WOULD BE A BLAST! 💀💀💀💀
I feel like the hearted comment is a sign 😃
@@zyozyo_edits Oh we about to get something real good I CAN FEEL IT
I love how this interview in English highlights his personality while also reflects his attitudes toward his idols: friendly, candid, good communication.
25:51 (Mweonji aljji) ‘YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING’ trademark sentences of JYP family😂✨
This is why i love jyp artists. They DO feel down to earth and just like kinda good people.
i’ve always been a fan of jyp because he’s funny and doesnt care what other people think. i’ve never been a blind stan of everything he does but this really does fill out his personality. i feel like it could help a lot of people understand why he does things
JYP recommended Chan and Felix... So touching... JYP appreciate SKZ so much..
❤❤❤
