- Here is the first look at the new Nomo Wallet. A simple little curve on the side completely changes the look and feel of the wallet.
I posted a video a while back with a protoype wallet ( • No.55 Prototype Leathe... ), I came across some photos last week and decided to incorporate this curve into my current designs.
Enjoy
Cheers
Justin

It is a great detail to clean the table after each operation. You are a great artist. The fact that you care about your work shows this. And it creates great products. We need more of your training videos. Thanks
Thank you 🙏🏻
Justin that is just perfection. Thank you for this video which explains a LOT! May I ask what thread and iron size this was? I’ve been using waxed tiger but would like to try this more refined look. Thanks! 😊
Thank you!! This was 3.38mm irons and 0.45mm Meisi super fine thread.
Hi Justin ~~ what are u rubbing the edges with after gluing? Looks like a gum eraser?
Crepe rubber, it removes any excess glue prior to sanding.
New sub and new to leather craft. I wanted to thank you for getting real good camera angles in your presentations here... I have a question as I have noticed this clearly on your video here and one other leather worker's video. Can you step me through the reasons and let me know if I see this right... when stitching I notice that you first stick your right handed needle (1) in then pull it back out, then you pas the left handed needle (2) all the way through, then you stick the right hand needle (1) back through the hole... but before it goes all the way through you do some sort of twist with the thread from needle (2) taking it in a forward motion from you towards the camera and around the needle (1) before pulling both sides tight. Is that correct? If so what does this process do, or why is it done this way? Like I said I have seen another leather worker do this and I have heard mentioned somewhere but not illustrated as well as you do here. ~ thanks in advance, I just want to learn.
Thanks for subscribing, it’s called casting the stitch. Check my playlists, you will find a 2 minute video specifically on stitching. It will answer all your questions.
@@NorfolkHandmade I was going through all the links you share on your website and found the quickdraw wallet. while I was watching it you pinned a link in the top for your 2 minute video... Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I can't wait to put all that I have been watching to the test and practice.
Beautiful leather and work, well done!
Thank you
I really like that design ... do you sell patterns?
I sell the original pattern of this wallet on my site. It doesn’t have the curve, straight sides.
@NorfolkHandmade thanks... I like the curve tho ...it lifts the aesthetics heaps..... nice work ... well done
Great vid again! Thanks for sharing your process. Just curious about the creasing tool(?) you used to apply the dye to the edge- what brand and where to purchase? Thanks
Thanks for watching. The electric creaser is the Summit X2 from Rocky Mountain Leather with the spatula tip. They have since replaced that model so I can’t speak to the new machine.
Beautiful wallet Justin. Those edges are something to be proud of!
Thank you 🙏🏻
what kind of leather?
Black Nova Belly from Baltic Leather Supply.
Your dial laser is that a 20 or 10 watt?
10W Pro D1.
I have one as well. What settings are you using? I been working on making some templates for the laser cutting machine
That’s a tough questions to answer, there are a lot of variables. I have a playlist on my xTool, the last video talks about my settings.
Handsome wallet with great attention to the edges. Thanks.
Thank you 🙏🏻
here I am using cardstock templates and cutting by hand, even roughing by hand... I am jelly bro
Nothing wrong with that method at all. The laser just guarantees accuracy and makes curves a lot easier….lol
@@NorfolkHandmade yeah I hate it when my fingers slip and I cut over my line. Usually I polish it out if I didn't cut too far over.... Still a laser seems nice, probably worth it over buying single pattern dies
A laser has its benefits for but it doesn’t truly replace a clicker and die setup. The speed of the clicker is way faster than a laser, but obviously the laser has more flexibility.
@@NorfolkHandmade how many pieces do you make in a day, out of curiosity?
Tough to say, everyday is something different.
Beautiful. Great work.
Thank you!
Pretty clean wallet
Thanks 🙏🏻
Nice stamp where did you get it?
That’s an engraved logo. But I normally get my stamps from AM Leathercraft.
Yeah talking about the rubber stamp you put on the inside. Nice touch.
Ahhhh, sorry I misunderstood. I think I got it on Etsy from a local vendor. It’s nothing fancy.
