  • My Facebook marketplace jeep was lacking front and rear bumpers as well as one upgrade I never thought of some body armor. The new front and rear Rough Country bumpers were a huge upgrade and the armor really made her look good and also adds an extra layer of protection.

    I'm watching a guy put a 69 charger body on a Scat Pack. He used to do Nascar bodies. A quick bracket he does to keep things in place, smaller diameter tube in a larger diameter tube. Crimp the ends, slide the tube until its perfect to the needs, tack welds the spot the 2 tubes meet and then tack welds it in place....holds things until a permanent bracket can be made.

    Forrest shadow green would be a great color.

    The XJ platform is a very impressive little rig. Matt from Matt's Off-road Recovery has shown just what those things can be capable of with a little bit of work!

    That Jeep is looking so much better, glad you fixed the steering first though!

    The old Jeep is looking a lot better now than when you got it. This Rough Country gear really makes a big difference. Have you thought about sealing the between the armour and the body to prevent dirt and water getting behind it and causing rust over time?
    Always interesting to see the mods and improvements you do to stock vehicles.

    Yes the Jeep does look a lot better. I am sure that it will drive a lot better too when you get those badly worn tires replaced. If I was closer I would gladly give you a hand when you needed help. 👍

    I would put seam sealer around the rivnuts before lining it, apart from that, I think its looking great, way to go!

    That jeep is getting crazy! I knew it was in good hands, but it's becoming capable faster than I thought. 🤩

    Looks waaaaay better. Personally I probably would attached the extra body panels with VHB but that's because I hate drilling holes because I don't want water getting in and it rusting

    Looks damn fine Dave , gotta sort that white seal bits out around the rear wheel arches though lol that’s become a nice machine dude 👍 (just a thought and speaking out loud ) I’ve seen a Ford 4x4 done in like a red and grey camouflage design somewhere that looked really nice kinda not supposed to be camouflage but a cool spin on it 👍

    Off to HF and get a Badlands winch and to yankum for a rope and soft shackles.

    • @bigsexymuthashutyomouth2546
      @bigsexymuthashutyomouth2546 Рік тому

      @@Junkyard_Dave Those Badlands Apex winches are extremely strong and 1/3 the price of a "name brand" winch. I bought just one of the cheapest Badlands 12,000 lb one and it is definitely worth the money. Only downside to the cheapest one is that it is slow but I think that's where it gets its strength from. Whatever you do, don't buy a Warn. The solenoids burn up too quickly on them. I had a guy tell me to quit replacing mine on my work truck with Warn solenoids and put boat motor tilt and trim solenoids instead and it worked out great. They lasted way better and longer than the Warn ones. Just in case you go the Warn route.
