Yellow Mongoose vs Cape Cobra

- I had watched this yellow mongoose the day before moving around and checking under all the stones. The next day he was back and I had my cell phone with me so I started a video, well to my surprise the Cape Cobra appeared and what incredible interaction between the two .... one brave little mongoose...
I would forever be indebted to that little guy. I’d start leaving treats out for him just to be my personal snake patrol. What a champ
He's a brave little guy. Doesn't even consider quitting and running for safety. He just wants to punish the snake for all the preys its killed.

Yup. The circle of life.

They’re also immune to a certain quantity of venom. Makes it very bad news for a snake
Well, if your common diet includes cobras and a bunch of other venomuous snakes, thats how your are built.
That's not fearlessness when you know that nothing your opponent can do against you
It’s resistant to venom not immune.
Like a animal version of Roy Jones
Rikki Tiki Tavi (Mongoose) vs Nag (Cobra) was one of my favorite childhood stories! To see the battle play out live, in the wild, is just incredible & intense! The fierceness, skillfulness & bravery of a mongoose is commendable! Right up there with a wolverine & a honey badger! All 3 so very BADASS!

Safe while mongoose is there 👍.They are the killer of snakes! and even when bitten are immune from the venom👍..
She made the Mongoose nervous he kept looking at her cause he had no idea who or why she was there. He couldn't full focus on the snake.

The mongoose is funny,he goes there, takes a bite, dodges the snake attack and runs and then comes back to mess with her.😂😂😂
Can we agree and take a minute to appreciate the camera work by this young lady. Too many videos that are nearly unwatchable but this was a gem. 🙏
I like how the fact that the moonguse was wary of the person recording and would run away when she got too close but it repeatedly attacked a cobra that would kill it with one bite
My thoughts exactly. As if the snake and the mongoose were paid actors!

Even knowing the mongoose is superior, it’s always fascinating to see how quick it is in dodging the cobra.
This cobra was actually very wise and clearly very experienced in defending against mongooses. It knew to keep the hind part of its body away from the mongoose so he couldn't get those cheap shots in against him which would have otherwise caused him to eventually become weakened and vulnerable to the point of being killed by the mongoose. For most snakes that's almost always the deal breaker when doing battle with a mongoose. They don't defend well and eventually it gets them killed.
Now if you can only defend against your women being raped you f****** idiot
The snake was legit.
It's not experience, it's just instinct. If you needed experience to survive a mongoose attack, then you'd obviously die before you could acquire any experience, and cobras would be extinct
The ability of the mongoose to quickly move backwards is just amazing.
And it's immune to snake venom 😎

the mongoose was probably bitten…..whats nice for him is that he is immune to the venom of the cobra
Undoubtedly the mongoose got the venom boop. They are immune to neurotoxic venom. If they were to fight a viper they would surely die(hemotoxin)
@@mellamodiego8458 can you show use where he got bit?
@@mellamodiego8458 That is actually not true. Mongooses can just handle much higher doses of venom, though they are not immune. A quick and easy Google search confirms this.
Don't believe everything you read on the internet, people (including what I am saying). Just do your research.
@@mellamodiego8458 i agree, a few times the fangs were so close. Having seen actual snake bites they don't look any different, you don't realise the bite has happened. I suspect this mongoose was tagged a few times. However in addition to being highly resistant to the venom (mongooses are not 100% immune) I think they move so quickly and read the snakes body so well that they don't get bitten badly. Just a small bit of venom probably gets in, probably only one of the snakes fangs, not able to bite deeply and only for a microsecond
Phenomenal display of the two class's abilities. The fact that at the end the mongoose predicts the exit way... wow

The Yellow Mongoose is far braver than I am. I would have a heart attack if I ran across a snake like that !!
In the end,The cobra was like,"This mongoose thing is crazy, It's better to run"🤣🤣
I thought turning the corners in a maximum security prison was nerve racking. Clearly, I don't know what it's like to be a Mongoose. Holy $hit!
Very nice and incredible encounter. One has to wonder though, how can you feel comfortable in an environment that a live Cobra can just pop-up anytime at your feet?
The end was the mongoose saying, "There's only one of us coming out of this hole alive, and it ain't the snake."
I may not know how big that hole would be but I know there will not be enough space for the snake to raise it's head and strike and that gives the mongoose the chance to win that fight cos the fact that he followed the cobra into that 'tunnel' means game over
Even if the tunnel's tight enough to restrict the movement of those two, mongooses have developed immunity to a certain amount of the cobra's venom. So yeah that snake is done with.
