I recommend recording on your iPhone with the back camera as the quality is better than the front facing camera

Squeaky clutch is from the fire wall coming apart behind the clutch, iirc. Something about the metal being welded improperly on some builds.
That said, as someone who does have a 2014 Subaru Impreza WRX (Limited) with only one previous owner with an extensive maintenance carfax record, contrasted against all the many many youtube videos out there talking about their experiences with their own WRXs of the same generation, I can say your experience with these cars will be entirely anecdotal. There is no raw truth that "x car is unreliable", or "breaks down at X". You only have cars on the market that are either taken care of by their owners, or not. Do your due diligence.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of these cars on the market that were NOT taken care of. Just in my year of browsing before getting the car, I would say a good 80% of them had a bare carfax. No maintenance upkeep records. That's what happens when you release a sporty car at an affordable price. A bunch of irresponsible young adults get their hands on them, abuse the ever living shit out of them, then trade them in with minimal upkeep.

I mean each car is unique based on how it’s been treated before you, but as long as everything is mechanically well, I’d say you could do it! I will say buying one that has a bunch of mods can be nice just because you don’t have to pay to do that all yourself, but that also means more possibilities of issues.
