I learned today that if you have the selection in your settings on the printer to print both sides, select print on short side. This will let you print on both sides with the writing or image going in the right direction on each side instead of upside down.
Oh thank you! Ive been so confused. Now i get it. I love the little "tails"at the bottom. Im so grateful you made this tutorial. I just discovered you today. Subscribed!
I can't believe I didn't know you do tutorials for your kits. I need so much help it's not funny. Thank you so much. I've subscribed of course 😂😂😂. Lucky me. 🌹🌹🌹🦘🦘🦘
Stephanie ive been a fan forever now. Thanks for all you do. I adore my porch prints and have almost every kit. They are all interactive Your joyous personality is contagious. Thank you for your freebies
I think that's what it is too...I get overwhelmed by all the things I want to put in one and trying to make them like all of you do who are far more talented at it.😁❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for your tips and for sharing.
Although I've made a few junk journals I always find ways to use the influencers style to incorporate into a style I'm still developing. Thank you so much for your series.
It's nice to refresh what we have been doing for years. I find I have no memory of doing things. Watching these videos helps refresh the mindfulness when creating myself.
Thank you so much for doing this video. I've been hesitant to do a journal for a year but may dive in now. I love your Heaven kit. Your work is awesome. Thanks for all your time & effort.
You could try making something small, maybe an envelope book or paper bag? I would like to encourage you, though to just make a junk journal. You will be surprised at how easy it really is. If you are in Facebook groups you will find many women who would be happy to help at any stage of your progress. Making JJ is a very rewarding craft. I hope you try, and if you need anything you can find me on fb by this same name. I wish you the best.
I love how this looks 😍 I actually use my journal to write in, and this one has plenty of space for that 😊 Thanks for all the gorgeous stuff you share with us so graciously 🌹
I had not seen the hidden spine so this was a great tutorial for me! I am going to use some boxes to make journals, and this is exactly what I needed to see. Thank you
Great tutorial Stephanie. I’ve bought several of your kits , which are fabulous by the way, but haven’t tried this hidden spine yet. Trying this for my next journal. Thank you for all you do. And for all the freebies on your Facebook group, wow. You’re mahvelous.
Thank you so much Stephanie, I really really enjoyed watching you creating this amazing and stunning journal. Absolutely brilliant and I’ve brought one kit from you which, is absolutely incredible, I’m definitely going to try this out too...I’m looking forward to seeing what you do next. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
I want to make one but always lose my nerve and never start. 😥 Thank you for sharing yours and your ideas. Hopefully one day I'll finally get enough courage up to start one.
Come now....it's only pretty paper and glue. If you don't like the finished project....toss it, and try again :) It'll be brilliant, no matter what....have fun...don't be nervous or afraid.
I've learned a lot from other tutorials, but yours has answered all of my questions about assembling a journal this way. Thank you! I already loved your shop, but am now subscribed to your videos, too. :) (Also, do you find that your E-Z Runner adhesive tape is stronger than some of the smaller ones like Tombow?)
Hello! We are so glad to have you join us here on our UA-cam Channel! Welcome! As for the tape, we have only used the E-Z Runner, so we are not sure how it compares to others, but it works well for us and our needs.
I just joined your facebook group ,I made a few junk journals already but have not fi nished some as I am always afraid I am not doing it right but I love your step by step teaching . Maybe I can get a Journal done now .lol 🙂🤗❤
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’ve been wanting to ask how these junk journals get made. I’m brand new to all of this also. I’ll be joining your FB group! I love your videos! 💗
Hello, you'll find the Hidden Spine Template under the "files" tab in our Facebook group (along with other freebies). That link can be found in the video description. I'll add it here too. :) facebook.com/groups/fansofmyporchprints
Stephanie I'm a huge fan of MPP and have purchased "a number" of kits from your store all which has been amazing. I'm fairly new to journaling. I have been a card maker for years. I always enjoy seeing videos and always learn something new. I don't support facebook so I'm unable to get your freebie you offer. Is there any other way to get your spine template? I've yet to make sewn in pages but this would make it so easy and that is my next challenge to myself to make my next journal with bound pages. I think this just takes a journal up to the next level. Thank you for sharing your talent as it so much appreciated. Pamela A/PA
i just brought your kit and trying to make my first journal. how many pages do you put in each signature and do you use a cover page for each signature. as you FastForward that bit i got lost from there.. i hope you can so i can keep moving through making my journal;. thank you Tania from Australia
You can use as many pages per signature as you want. The more pages, the harder the signature will be to sew through and the thicker your journal can become. If you are doing 4 signatures like in this video, we used about 3 or 4 pages, plus a few other coffee dyed papers/cd envelopes/ and things like that (For a total of around 6-7 pages per signature, max.) but again, if you decorate them, the journal will get thicker. Less pages/less decorating = a flatter journal. For our recent Jane Austen journal we used only 6 pages for 3 signatures, and didn't decorate all of them, and it still filled up fast! It's not an exact science, just whatever looks nice to you! And same thing goes for cover pages, you can use a specific paper from this kit with art that catches your eye, or just lined paper or coffee dyed paper or whatever you would like as the front of your signatures. We tend to use the decorative pages in ours. It's a learning process; the more journals you make, the more you will figure out what you like in your journals (thick, thin, plain or decorative). Feel free to check out our Facebook group (linked in the description box) for ideas on how others do their journals. :) Hope this helps!
New subscriber here. Your digitals are beautiful..Will they print correctly on A4 paper? i have only used scrapbook paper, so far, in my card making and mini albums.. new to hand sewn journals. thank you.
Hello! Welcome to our little crafty family here on UA-cam! We're so happy you have you. 🤍 As for the paper, yes, you can print on A4 paper but they will print at a slightly different scale to fit the page so you will have to account for that. We hope this answers your question!
