      @@gurpreetbhela1421 I would recommend buying everything Ala carte. Just be sure to get the measurements on fittings for the inlets and outlets on the tank and chiller so they match up with your tubing. I would recommend not going any smaller than 5/8 on tubing and I highly recommend buying an inline pump that is more than capable of cycling enough GPH

    Just another guy who wanted to say thanks for your videos. The fitting, pipe and pump package with this is just low quality and seemingly underpowered for this circulation piece. I switched out the hoses with better-quality clear tubing, and I can see the pump does not have the power to circulate the water in this thing. The pump you recommended arrives tomorrow. I can't believe I have to make all these extra purchases just to make this function as designed. Thank you again, Nicholas..

      @@depotwest dude, it’s so frustrating paying that much upfront just to end up having to basically DIY it yourself. These videos were my attempt at making it ‘a tad’ less frustrating for the next person. Thanks for your comment and good luck to you.

      @@nicholasclay6534 It truly is. It's like they never put it together and went, wait, this doesn't work the way we are advertising. Anyway, with your help, I will be up and running tomorrow. The chiller was blowing the breaker yesterday because I believe the pump was trying too hard. Hopefully, that won't happen once I get an appropriate pump. Thanks again, and all the best to you!

    Much appreciated! I just got one of these myself and was marveling at how bad the instructions and how shoddy the fittings are. I ordered an Active Aqua 400 on your recommendation, waiting for it to show up. I know you don't get anything from this other than helping people. That is noble and appreciated!

      @@nicholasclay6534 I wrote to Nurecover about the fittings on the tubes. I would imagine you experienced the same - I could only tighten them so much then they clicked and went loose again. The response: "They are designed to be this way. It is not possible to tighten them all the way to the end."

      I was finding initially that the filter housing wasn't maintaining the water level at all. I had about an inch in there. I recharged the system using a hose after turning it off and re-seated the filter and it was good for about 24 hours but then dropped down to about half again. I was wondering if, in your opinion, that could be due to the pump they provided being inadequate?

    Sorry again, bro haha I’m going to post this review here too to warn other people - I’m so annoyed with Nurecover, they’re a nightmare. Happy you got yours to work though :)
    Friends, stay far, far away from this company. My Pod Chiller Pro arrived and doesn’t work. Something is rattling around in it. To resolve this, they sent me a video IN MANDARIN of someone in a factory on how to use it. I’m not making that up. Now they won’t accept a return because it’s been opened. Guys, how could I know it didn’t work unless I opened it? The worst.

    • @AmishOutlaws
      @AmishOutlaws 2 місяці тому

      Surprisingly their customer support has been good with me in the past, though I have heard the nightmares. I had a Portable Ice Bath with a hole that they sent a replacement for. I had patched the hole in the original and continued to use it, then eventually when the patch gave out I opened the new one they sent and it had been in the box for a few months and had a small hole in the inflatable rim and they sent another new one.

    Thanks for posting....very helpful. I just set up my Nurecover pod and chiller and had a question about setting temp. In addition to setting the temp that you want the water in your pod to be the instructions attempt to explain how to set the "starting temperature". I assume this is the warmer temp you want to trigger the chiller to kick on enabling you to maintain a min and max temp range of the water without the chiller kicking on and off constantly. Whereas the min is the "stopping temp" (of the chiller) and max is the "starting temp" (of the chiller). The instructions are very confusing and call this setting the back-difference temperature. I am assuming it is the actual temperature range amount (between min and max), but I am guessing. For example, if you want the chiller to keep the water between 48 and 52 degrees then you would set the back-difference temp to 4 degrees. I was wondering if you messed with that setting or had any insight. Thanks and apologies for the long question.

    • @nicholasclay6534
      @nicholasclay6534  4 місяці тому +1

      @@ChrisD-q1y your assumptions are entirely correct. I set mine to 50° F and it gets around 53 before the compressor kicks on to start chilling again. I thought about adjusting the tolerance, but that would just mean my compressor would be kicking on more and more - my thought is the less it has to kick on, the less wear-and-tear, and the longer the chiller will last.
      Speaking of longevity, one thing I haven’t mentioned in any of my videos is that you ‘need’ to keep your pump running at all times. This is to avoid build up in your system. Mainly the pump and chiller. The only time I’d recommend shutting it off is for maintenance/refilling, or when you’ll be gone for long periods of time… in which case you’ll want to drain the tank and let the entire system air out completely

Ive set everything up like youve shown on the video but dont seem to be getting any water flow for long and the temp isn’t changing. @@callumsimpson-u5w it’s most certainly the pump. Be sure to check to make sure you’re inlet and outlet are set to open. It also helps if the pump is at or below the base of the pod.

I was able to find a company called flow-pro that makes 2.5”x5” melt blown filters that are 20 micron and NSF tested and certified. My pump is much happier and quieter. The filter that came with it seems to clean pretty easily. I hit it with a high strength hose stream and some water/white vinegar mix. I was able to order some 5, 10 and 30 micron filters online for a very reasonable price. From what I understand, the lower the microns the more it filters out but then the faster they'll get clogged up. I couldn't find any reasonably priced 20 micron so I will give these three a go and report back. I have tried to post where I got them but YT seems to be killing any comments with an exterior link. Feel free to message me direct if you want the link. Thanks again to Nicholas for these videos and the chance to discuss this stuff.
