Thank you So much for this. Last time I changed spark plugs I didn't take off the manifold. Removing all the junk from the sides was a lot more of a hassle than just taking the manifold off the top. This video should be part of the 2014-2015 E350 video help.

Thank you for your time and video, very helpful.
For anybody doing ignition coils on drivers side, do yourself a favor and replace all of them on this side so you won’t have to deal with this again.

What does the black vacuum line with a yellow stripe do ?

@@jeurycisneros17 I'm not sure exactly what it does possibly for a vacuum valve into the intake. I know it connects on the back right side of engine onto a Westgate looking thing (its hard to see and to attach the line. Then it runs along the backside of the intake a connects somewhere on the passenger side of the intake

"These back bolts stay on the manifold, they have these rubber grommets." Oh my God if only I had watched your video before I did this. I dropped one on top of the transmission trying to take them out and they were a pain in the ass to get out. Wish I had discovered your channel sooner. Thanks for the info and the fantastic video though, will make next time easier.

Very good video quality. And the pointy arrows in the video makes it even more professional. If you were to replace or access the valve adjuster on the LHS(drivers side) cylinders, how will you go about that? Thanks

Excellent video. I like your way of dealing with the vacuum hose at the back. Some people remove the screw that holds the plastic nipple. I removed the hose from the nipple. Not easy to get to and you have to remove the larger hose from the vacuum pump. Will try your way next time.

That last vacuum line you removed - it was impossible to disconnect it at the backside of the intake manifold, so I was very careful to disconnect it behind the firewall. When reassembling, I realized the fitting broke off inside the hose. I assume it goes to the Vacuum Pump? I am honestly so upset about this and wished I would have snipped the vacuum line and added an splice tube.

Sorry for your misfortune but thank you so much for commenting. I’m getting ready to do this now and will take extra care in that line.

What does that small yellow vacuum line plug into?

I did this a slightly different way, but the goal for me was to get access to the coolant temperature sensor... problem is I can't seem to find it on the backside of the engine with a mirror or anything. Do you know where it is on this M276 engine?

The yellow stripe vac line, where does it attach to? I pulled it off with the manifold and can’t figure out where attaches to engine side. Thanks

Hey Brent! I snapped off the yellow and black vacuum line from the intake nozzle. And ideas on how to fix without replacing intake manifold?

I don't know exactly what it looks like but in the past when breaking a nozzle I've drilled the nozzle out to a hole the same outer diameter as the tubing. Then put the tubing through just a little bit and hold in place with a sturdy glue. Not at all sure if that's satisfactory in this scenario but thought I'd mention it.

My Mercedes has the exact same engine layout and I'm having trouble finding ATF dipstick cap location is there any chance you remember what side it was on or anything like that

There is no automatic transmission fluid dipstick.

The two E10 Bolt on the back of 2015 ML350 are not accessible, what should I do or Wrench to use?

I did one of these months ago and had to remove the plastic pieces in the rear over the bolts. It definitely adds additional work on the MLs.

    • @brenth7774
      @brenth7774  4 місяці тому

These are tricky - I have an E350 and an ML350 and the ML350 is a bit more involved, you'll need to remove a lot of the cowling to reach the bolts in the back.

This would be needed to access anything under it; services, valve cleaning, camshaft issues etc etc.

I’m getting ready to replace ignition coil, on drivers side they sit right underneath this manifold. You can replace them by loosening manifold too. I replaced one ignition coil on this side a year ago and now another, so I’m just doing it properly this time removing everything and replacing gaskets and all the ignition coils.
