After Nebraska fans have been dealing with Madi Kubick and Lexi Sun as their main hitters for so long. Nebraska needed a more firey, aggressive hitter like her. I don’t blame her for being passionate.
I heard Taylor Landfair is down to either Wisconsin or Nebraska. That would be a huge pickup for us if she commits to Nebraska bc that left side pin is our weakest spot rn. Although I think she’ll end up at Wisconsin bc that would leave us with her, Ally, Krause, and Skylar all fighting for the same position

Despite all the hype about her being the #1 draft pick and top outside hitter recruit, Harper Murray SORELY DISAPPOINTED. She is NOT a go-to terminator type of hitter. In fact, she has A LOT OF DIFFICULTY putting the ball away and ending the point. And that was Nebraska's problem for so many years -- they just didn't have ANYONE who could play that role the way Skinner of Texas does, or Collier of Oregon, or Franklin of Wisconsin, or even Parra of TCU. They are SO EFFICIENT at putting the ball away, the team can literally set them the ball almost every time and win matches. Harper just doesn't have that quality about her, at all. Sorry, but Nebraska would be better-off trading her away...

@@djbenje4019the issue with people like you is you don’t know what your talking about. She was literally a freshman playing #1 OH came freshly out of college, high school volleyball and club are WAYYYYYYY different than college. You ask can freshman and they tell you what they have to adjust to the college caliber. Yes though I do agree with her putting balls away is not really good. Also you have to look at it as it really is and she doesn’t have as much tools. I think next year she should have better shots bc I did hear she does like to hit cross court but obviously scouting takes that away, but I think by December she should had a lot more shots to hit rather than her favorite. She is more of a tip player and those are the ones you don’t really want on your side, but at the same time she only have 1 season under her belt so I say she will get better with time.
Anyone who followed the tournament got a glimpse of the incredible young talent many squads have. Harper is a fine example of it! Young players in all sports learn and grow along the way. Next season promises to be super exciting for many squads!

Harper has been a really BIG disappointment for Nebraska. Look at her hitting stats -- they're quite abysmal.

I’d like to see the people in the comments bullying an 18 year old girl do half of what she does. Her emotions got the best of her, stop acting like you guys are some sort of moral compass or would do any better.
Maybe she should know how to act when she loses and Texas knew they were going right at her great game plan
She’s the one that wanted to talk like an adult. It’s cocky and it was backed up with nothing after the championship game. If the match was a close 5 set lost, it would make sense. But embarrass was the emotion that should of showed up

You are absolutely right. She is young and has amazing ability. Its not the end of the world if she was a bit childish and it certainly doesnt take away from her skill.
Emotion, talented, work ethic, team player, special individual, what else is there?
Notice there’s almost nothing from the championship game, it’s all kills against Long Island
I just saw her against Long Island, Georgia Tech, Arkansas, Pittsburgh, & Texas. She had kills against all those teams. I think, & I believe you should watch this video again; & watch the full video.

For all the hype and the 'look/appearance' she gives, she's really quite average, even below-average in her ability to put the ball away. Check out her hitting % throughout the tournament, and even during the season -- she simply doesn't have the ability to end points. WAY overrated, and WAY too big an ego.

Leave the girl alone. We should be blaming cook for putting miserable freshman out on the press conference instead of beason and batenhorst. What is his logic? I can’t believe he’s even allowing his freshman to say things like that? I am a Nebraska fan, but what Harper said is the dumbest thing I have heard all year. Okay, if you win 3 in a row I stand corrected. But I seriously don’t think that’s happening. She’s young, and not to mention this was minutes after they lost. I’m not saying it’s acceptable to say these types of things, but the hate this team is receiving is ridiculous.
i mean they have the best young core and its not even close, its really not that unlikely, jackson reilly and murray are gonna be monsters for the next three years plus theyre ghonna keep recruiting

These aren't Texas fans commenting here. They're Nebraska fans like me. I've followed her since the U19 tournaments, thought she was the next best thing... but after a full season with Nebraska, I realize, she's got nothing. She can't put the ball away. Her hitting % is abysmal. She missed THE MOST serves on the team, leading the nation in that category. She clearly can't serve-receive, got eaten alive vs Texas. The only thing she brings is a HUGE EGO, ZERO MODESTY OR HUMILITY, was probably being treated like a princess by all the guys at school, the whole thing gave her an over-inflated head, and it showed. So, yeah, she's lacking in BOTH ABILITY and CHARACTER. That's why people are hating on her.

It's called REALITY. Her hitting % during the entire season was ABYSMAL. She led the team, and the league in MISSED SERVES (going for aces all the time, trying to be a big-shot). #1 draft pick? Bragging about being on the National Team when she 'grows up'? Claiming that she/Nebraska will win the championship for the next 3 yrs? Acting like she's got a princess complex? Barely improving her game over the course of an entire year? Wake up to the REALITY of her character and her career. She's got NOTHING worth admiring or applauding. Just a self-centered ego-maniac who thinks the world revolves around her. Ever meet that type?
I’m sure this won’t be agreed upon by any Nebraska fans but I think Harper Murray is extremely overrated by the VB community and I thought that well before Nebraska made it to Tampa.

I used to be a HUGE fan of hers since the U19 tourneys, but after watching her for a full season, I'm MAJORLY disappointed with both her LACK OF ABILITY and HUGE EGO. She simply doesn't know how to put the ball away, period. Abysmal hitting %, missed more serves than anyone on the team, and is NOT a strong passer. In addition, it's clear that all the hype and popularity she got on campus (by the handsome senior jocks all looking to get with her, right?) has all gone to her head. I can't see ANY improvement in her game since the start of the season -- i guess she's too distracted being Miss Popular on campus.
