Awesome and touching documentary....Being a cyclist and a fanatic I believe Africa needs more African riders on the world stage and more mentors and believers like Doug to get Africans there.
As a cyclist and fan of the sport, the Cummings win in 2015 was incredible. A rider who IMHO wasn't given the credit he deserved.Good luck in your search for a new sponsor in this difficult time.
struggling to sleep so I thought I'd watch a few UA-cam vids, I picked the worst one to watch while trying to fall asleep 😩 goosebumps the whole way through. Truly beautiful to watch and made me appreciate how lucky I am to have all the things that are often so easily taken for granted. #CYCLING CHANGES LIVES. 🙏 THANK YOU.
Wow so cool. I'm now an NTT fan. I love that you aren't just another cycling team but you are uplifting a continent, diversifying cycling, and breaking barriers.
I'm in tears. What a great film, story and what a team. Been so inspiring to watch you grow in the last 10 years. Hope and pray that we can continue to see you in the peloton for many many years.
Thanks you so much. This is what pro cycling needs more movies and documentaries because there are so many untold stories or passion, belief and riders never giving up
Love this on so many levels... the dream, the passion, the purpose and the continuous reinvention. Lessons not only for cycling but for all walks of life. So proud and inspired to see what you and the team have achieved, Doug!
Thank you Qhubeka for the joy that a dream can realize into a reality. Thank you for the hope that you gave to people, Africa in particular. Never been a fan of any particular Cycling team but now I am.
What a great film! I really didn't appreciate the back story until now, but thanks to this inspirational film we can all see the power that cycling can have, especially with people like Doug Ryder at the wheel. Long may the journey continue!
25:37 “Greatness has to include aspects of connecting to a higher purpose.” “It’s about something greater, it’s about hope.” “This is why this is the greatest team in the pro peloton, riding for a greater purpose, education, safety, dreams, country, and racial injustice. Never give up, keep believing, Bicycles Change Lives!🖐🏻🖐🖐🏽🖐🏿
Great story Doug. And wonderful vision. In a 1970 interview, with the great French film director Jean Renoir. He suggested that the role of a director is to have a clear enough vision that you can work through the imperfections involved in executing it. “A picture, often when it is good, is the result of some inner belief which is so strong that you have to show the world what you want, in spite of all the difficulties in creating it.” Keep at it Doug.
I teared up when I saw Ciolek win and what it meant to al involved back then, and I immediately did again now. Doug (and all others who made the dream possible) you are amazing!
The story must continue, and the spirit must carries on. What a heart touching movies, i think it's not just a cycling documentary, but it's all about being a human and their emotional moment
That was great, I really enjoyed it when Daniel Teklehaimanot got the polka dot jersey, this was a historic moment of cycling that I'm happy to have witnessed in person. Keep up with the great job guys
This was an amazing video and I felt so proud of what the team has achieved over the years. I grew up north of Johannesburg riding my bike. It was always a dream to see a RSA team hit the tour. Great to see this and full kudos to the sponsors and of course the only only Doug Ryder - legend beyond words. I sincerely appreciate you sharing this and I will for sure share far and wide
Wow this is a great film. I must admit I didn't know this much of the story. Thanks for making this film! I pedaled a lot of miles in South Africa in 2008. I met lots of incredible people and biked on some of the most scenic roads. This makes me want to go back to ZA!
Fantastic story. Anyone interested in this might like the documentary about Jacques Boyer and the evolution of cycling in Rwanda. Best of luck in the future.
Superbe film. Très belle histoire de cette équipe attachante. Continuez à faire rêver tout un continent, vous méritez vos succès et vous en obtiendrez d'autres c'est certain. Bravo à Qhubeka pour leur engagement.
This is a very emotional video to watch, showing the vision of just one man and pulling everyone around him. I'm new to cycling, and was blessed to meet the team in Malaysia early this year... since then, I don't know how much I've spent on this sport, and the plans I have to attend some of these international races. Africa needs this representation, but it is difficult. Godspeed
What a great story! And racing for such a great cause! I've maintained had Cav not crashed out in Stage 1 in 2014 TdF in Harrogate and then again in 2017 for Dimension Data, he would've eclipsed Eddie's record of 34 stage wins comfortably(this as Cav has probably just raced his last pro race so we'll never know). I wish the team all the best and may you continue help and inspire others. Enjoyable and inspiring film. Chapeau!
Well done Doug Ryder and team, this is an amazing story and journey you guys have gone through. Good luck with the remainder of 2020 and sure as hell, 2021 will even be greater for the team
Thanks for sharing your whole history with everyone. I enjoyed the entire film with goosebumps. Guys this is so emotional. So inspiring. I'm sure this project and the team still has many pages of glory to write ahead of it. keep this way! Cycling needs you.
Great story. Great film. And the good old days for Cavendish, in an era when he truly dominated. Wishful thinking perhaps, but I hope he produces a few performances yet this year worthy of a Swansong.
REALLY REALLY enjoyed the film, the story behind it, the dream and the helping foundation! Kudos to you Dough and to everyone on the team and the people whom put together this well put together film/documentary, Love Cycling!!!!
Amazing Film. Well done to the production team. It had highs, lows, tears - it really took me on a journey. It was such a good story and it feels like the best is yet to come. I got to meet Doug when I was working at Dimension Data and to see where they have come from and the obstacles they've faced, its truly inspiring. Glad he stepped out though, it must be a tough life being team manager and not good for you health wise.
A truely inspirational story of one man’s dream and passion coming to fruition through shear determination and a sprinkling of luck (good and bad). It is fantastic to know this dream (no a reality) is continuing even during these unprecedented times impacting everybody around the globe. Congratulations Doug and your amazing team. 🤚
Very well done! New to cycling ever. I am now wanting a jersey to wear proudly! It inspires me to see the purpose and dedication you all have for something bigger than yourselves! Magnifice!
I enjoy a lot this documentary as a great fan of the team, it was a great journey which I wish could continue next years with a new sponsor. Good luck!!
Hugely inspiring! I wasn’t aware of this story but should have been, kudos to all the team and I wish you the best of luck in the future. Looking forward to hear that SA national anthem in the Champs Elysees! 💪🏻💪🏻 Go NTT!
It always warms my heart, that doping legends like Bjarne Riis still have a place in pro cycling. Who else should bring back trust into pro cycling, but someone who not only doped himself as a cyclist, but also helped build up a doping system for the next generation as manager at CSC.
@@mikael6062 Interesting take. so you support Qhubeka trying to improve the lives of Africans but not to changing the culture of NTT/cycling's ongoing allegiance to dirty riders, team managers, race directors, commentators. Your contribution is to tacitly approve of Omerta and stick your head in the sand. Not nearly so noble.
Looking this film with tears in my eyes. This story must continue!
Thanks Gerrit... we have been grateful for your long standing support. Feel free to share this film far and wide. 🙂
Definitely 😀
I Agree with you 101%
This is fantastic, what a story👍👍
Same! 🙈🙌
You guys are legends and South Africans are 100% behind you !!
Raced for 10 years. Stopped for 8. Just started again. This film is inspirational to say the Least and I’m only 25 minutes in.

The Cummings win on Mandela day, brought a tear to the eye. Nice vid.

Over coming adversaries, rethinking strategies, making bold moves, Doug appears to be a terrific leader in many ways. Great film on many levels.

I still wear my MTN Qhubeka bib shorts on group rides. Proudly African.
