Find a good tree limb that is dry, a little bigger with out the bark OAK is good if you have some or another hard wood ...fix broken shelter pipe to accept the ends of the limb to fit inside the pipe and you have a good temp repair with the tie lines reinstalled ya'll good to go 🤠🤠🤠TN

Cut some posts out of those downed trees and limbs to re-enforce the tent shelter, cross brace it so it won't rack on you. Use a trimmed piece of oak to join the broken pipe supports by inserting into the pipe ends.

As kids, we couldn't wait for the ice to get thick enough to hold us. We never had ice skates, so we just slid across it in our boots or rode our bicycles on it. Fun memories.

Last month December, we had 65 mile per hour wind gusts here in Boston Mass. Seemed like the wind was Howling most of the day. So far it's been a mild winter with mostly rain. Heck, it's not bad we get some sunny days too.

You could cut a small hickory or some other tuff tree limb and put it in the pipe. Or a couple of pieces of rebar to fix it until you can order another piece. Maybe measure it and get another pipe from the Canadian Home Depot. 😁Happy New Year!

Hey guys might use your rotary cutter to cut out the box after install. Just mark the center and then use the rotary cutter to outline the box.

No room for that at the moment, but will be building something for it this year most likely.
Why'd you stop there? 😁... I had a similar issue with my vinyl shed/carport, I solved it using gutter spikes through the foot plates to keep the poles in place, then used 2 curly dog tie outs in the center of the structure, then ran two small ratchet straps on each in a V shape and secured them to the gable bar. Did both sides, and since it's withstood 70mph winds. Just a thought.
