My mt has now been sold as I found since buying the ninja 250 i prefer to ride it, the ninja is huge fun. Mine has rear sprocket with 2 teeth less. DNA air filter and the Akraprovic exhaust, plus Arrow manifold. My ninja easily does 100 mph, and with a little hill has shown 108 mph! By the way, the exhaust made no difference, neither did the Arrow manifold, but the DNA air filter changes the engine strength dramatically. Cannot recommend it enough. Locally, bikers are allowed the use of the airstrip once every month. Its length is roughly 1/4 mile. I video my runs. Before filter change my Ninja ran up to 84 mph before braking was necessary. After change of filter to DNA, my Ninja now reaches 92 mph! That is a very good improvement.

Hi. Did you ever tried to add a Rapid Bike Evo module? I’ve just put that one on mine so I’m looking for others who already did.. thanks from Italy.

I've owned one for a while now and it's a great fun bike. I'd agree with pretty much everything the reviewer says. Not so sure about the 100mph claim, 90 is probably more accurate.
I swapped out the exhaust for something louder as this is a bike for filtering through traffic and it's nice to let people know you are there. You have to give a bit more consideration to overtaking as she's not hugely powerful but, at the end of the day, it's a 250cc not a proper sports bike. Round town and filtering though this will eat sports bikes for breakfast because she's so nimble and basically thin so you can squeeze through gaps sports bikes have no hope of.
On the down side mine does occasionally stall at traffic lights but could be the pipe. No big deal though as she starts easy enough.
Brakes and handling are better than you'd expect for the price and she's surprisingly comfortable though I'm only 5'8" tall so bigger riders might swamp the poor little thing.
Kawasaki are (possibly were) selling these off cheap and on interest free which makes the think a whole load of fun for virtually no money. An absolute steal.
I also own a Yam MT07 which is another great fun bike and with loads more power but, strangely, I find I ride the little Kawasaki and the MT is sat in the garage.

As you guys, I currently owned the 2017 MT-07 HO, and planning to downsize to the Ninja 250 SL, as I use my bike to commute to work daily, around 150km round-trip. Would you think the 250 SL be more comfortable on the freeway with the windscreen? And as nimble to lane filter in the city?
      Very much appreciated!

The 2008-12, 250R twin engine, is just as good a machine if not more stable. I have one that's 12 years old and going strong.
The fairing is wider for winter riding. The suspension is pure budget, but on the bearable side of hard. Gel seat insert and gel grips are the cheapest options to stopping the hard suspension and vibes through the bars at anything above 55mph. It's good on fuel, brilliant commuter, the riding position is spot on comfort. The gearbox is a little bit budget but works fine. Don't fit budget tyres unless you want to risk coming off. With a decent silencer it can transform it into something enjoyable. There are new Chinese silencers are on eBay for £20-50, and fit and look great. These Kawasaki Ninja's are built to last, but only IF you maintain them.

Been having this bike for a month now, done about 600km with it, great fun. I'm 1.77cm high, I'm a little bit bothered by the passenger seat behind like 5 cm too close to my butt. Apart from that, if you just enjoy riding smoothly, making some harsh accelerations out of corner to reach 100km/h, and have a great time like I do without taking any risks (we're not on trackday), I'd recommend this bike for any beginner as I am. I just love this little bike. Powerful enough for my actual skills, great agility, low fuel consumption (I can ride for about 250km before fueling up), and this sport style is really great.

@@christga100 mine will happily sit at 90mph all day long. It will do 50 in 2nd gear.

@@christga100 mines a 2011 and I'm in the UK. North East. I've had 105 full tuck out of it but 90 is where it's comfortable. I find it loads of fun on b roads. If it's twisty enough even the big bikes get bullied lol

Does the leaning forward position is comfortable when having a long ride specially hand and back? Hope you can enlighten me as I will buy next month. Tia

Leo Vince Had the same problem. Take the Ninja. Better quality, more comfy, faster (rc 200 max speed is 130 kmph) and better resale value. I tested both and bought the Ninja.

@@sharonsolomon2658 I wish i saw your comment last year before i bought the rc200. The Rc hits the rev limiter too fast and it's killing me. Will surely get a Ninja 250sl this year. After 3 years, I would like to get your feedback. Thanks

    250 r or 250 SL ???

Motorcyclists are obsessed with large displacement motorcycles that go to 250 per hour and weigh 200 kg. The important thing is that they know that if you give a Ninja 250 SL to Valentino Rossi, they will see it for 10 seconds .... ahahahaha
