Hate the price increase, but overall these are super slept on and I think they're one of the better GRs to release this year from Jordan brand.
They did still sell out in big sizes so it’s unfair to say they are slept on but I do think they are a great shoe

The mochas just have a much better color blocking, I passed on these due to the too much black, even though I like the brown color better. Great review!!!

Was looking forward to this review. Honestly this one of my favorite sneaker releases this year.
I copped them on release day and wore them yesterday, been with my GF for 5 years now and it's the first time she told me that my Js were looking good haha
Mine finally arrived today; love the shoe. Definitely a worthy compliment to the other brown Jordan 1s (mochas, Travis Scott’s etc)

I used a brush so that the nubuck has a nicer moving texture, and it dose remove the scraps/straches

With a few more rubs the scrapes do disappear. I don’t care what nobody says! These are fire 🔥🔥…great review!
Extra laces should be standard, absolutely. Kinda bummed that the brown is so easily scratchable but I really like these and can't wait to get mine!!!

I wouldn’t say it’s removable all the way, depending on the mark, just how you see in the video the marks stay after rubbing.
I copped a pair also had the Mochas 1 but these more for fall and winter and the Mochas for spring and summer i love both

The nubuck scratch thing isn’t true mostly… over time with a bit of brushing or just thumb the scratch will go away I’ve had them for a day and just brushed those scratches away! Other than that probably the best Jordan 1 of the year

All you have to do to remove scuffs is rub it firmly with your finger . I guess it’s self healing leather but it works try it

Personally, I think the brown leather/nubuck on the shoe is great! Jordan 1's look better worn, and the brown leather will give the opportunity for the shoe to show some character and age better over time. Thanks for the review!

I don’t have any of these colour so I go for palomino. In india this pair not launch yet so I pay resale to buy this pair but I think it’s worth to pay resale for this pair.

Having the TS1 made these an easy pass. I only need one brown J1, and it will be hard to beat the blocking on the TS.

Got my pair yesterday and i love them, but they didn't bother with QC on my pair and the brown leather on the toe is all stretched and funky looking. I guess I'm returning them and hoping that the resale on big sizes goes down a little.
The nubuck is gonna get scratched pretty easy regardless
Just treat it with mink oil. Should get rid of the scratches and make the brown leather a bit darker
Im a fan of this color way but 190 for a gr was just a bit to much to push me to actually pull the trigger on these

Technically its not a price increase, 65$ in 1985 (what the jordan 1 retailed for) is about 191$ today so they haven't increased the price in terms of value its just the number. this is because of inflation
It's not a nubuck leather... it's slightly untreated leather (great quality). Which is prone to stains if not treated properly.
Took mine to a boot maker as I live above one and he gave me some wax (beeswax) to treat the material and waterproof them! This said if not waxed these will patina nicely over time :).

There's actually a chocolate palomino horse, that's what the brown is based off of on the shoe.
The scuff marks will go away. You just have to rub them more.

I put mink oil on mine. Raw leather should be treated to protect the leather from the elements. It also darkened the brown a bit, they look much better now IMO.
How often do you put mink oil on ur shoes? Every couple months?
I did the brown areas of the Palomino because they looked dry. That's why everyone is complaining about the leather showing scratches, it's because the leather is dry. Mink oil doesn't help coated leather by the way.
Still can’t get used to this “new” shape of the OG Retro Highs… they look weird on everybody . Dark Mochas all day for me

Oddly here w/ya... but in dark colors look better than light for me. Sadly my L&F look... weird on foot. Something about the outsole shape near the pinky toe. Polomino for some reason dont give me the same vibe even being the same shape. I gotta blame colors idfk

I guess I’m wired different because once I got the Chicagos , I got rid of black toes and my red dunks as well, I don’t like having similar looking shoes

Honestly the leather on Palomino's is maybe a lil bit better, but nothing significantly better, bc it's still bad for such a "hype" release and also suede is just nowhere near Dark Mocha.
I got two pairs1xEA & 1x on drop) and bc I hoped they are from decent leather and suede I was badly disappointed when I got em in hand,
bc it's far from being good leather, even worse suede....
So I send both pairs back, bc not buying shoes just to get my collection bigger
and not a fan of Travis Scott, so that's not the case why I bought Dark Mocha bc I sell my TS Dark Mocha high I also got for retail, but kept GR Mocha bc I like Black Toe color blocking...Anyway the Palomino's imo are still not better quality then Dark Mocha especially when it comes to suede, leather wise is pretty much on the same lower level of quality and no where near good leather like reverse Laney's or those Craft AJ 1's, more like Lucky Green 2023 leather imo, so nooot good.
