I honestly love both versions, the original has this sadness and emptiness to it but a melancholic melody, it's Roxas theme. while the 2.5 version does it justice with how heavy and bombastic the piano is, to make you feel that pain Roxas has held inside.
Yoko Shimamura crafted some beautiful music for KH, it always impresses me.
It's such a nice theme, I oddly like this version better than the 2.5 version

RIP European dub for Kingdom Hearts and the PS2 ost since afaik it isn't available on the rereleases.

@@JaceAce22 Well there was because Square Enix seems to want us to forget it but it is impossible to have another voice for Mickey Mouse other than the one from your childhood.

Same! The melody is very soft, but the instruments in this version feel harsher… in 2.5 is seems muted a bit
Poor Roxas... first he is a nobody and doesn't exist
And now he doesn't even get to be an alternate skin for Sora in Smash... :(

He actually should've been an echo to Sora, not an alternate outfit. They managed to make a 2 in one character with Pyra/Mythrra so adding similar swap out with Sora/Roxas should've not been an issue. It was the last character, go out with a bang..
Alas, I can at least play with the KH2 Sora to feel that connection with my favorite Keyblader, Roxas. Maybe someday Roxas could get in as well. Now that will be my greatest Smash wish granted, along Lyn, Hector, Ephraim, Zero, Bass.EXE and Zach Fair getting in.

Roxas: Naminé? (Roxas and Naminé are now sitting at opposite ends of the long white table. Roxas' theme starts playing) Naminé...who are you?
Naminé: I'm a witch with power over Sora's memories and those around him.
Roxas: A witch?
Naminé: That's what DiZ called me. But I don't know why I have this power...I just do. I'm not even sure there's a right way for me to use it.
Roxas: Hmm...I can't help you there. (looking over at the drawing of himself and Axel) It's funny... Suddenly I feel like I don't know myself at all... I guess I would like to know. What do you know about me...that I don't?
Naminé: You...you were never supposed to exist, Roxas.
Roxas: What...? How could you even say such a thing...even if it were true?
Naminé: I'm sorry. I guess some things really are better left unsaid.
