can i use hair dryer to heat the glass,,, and also i dont have any glue to glue back the glass ,, what other glue can i use ,, since im in another country not in us right now im not able to buy off ebay or amazon ,so any idea how can i glue back on the new glass

If you buy the kits it normally comes with the alcohol solution whatever it is and is awesome on many other things I done this on s7 edge very time consuming I came here to see if it's the same for s6 or if the glue was just around the edges like older models as my glass is peeling away due to playing pub g to the point my phone has got hot for so long the adheisive has become degraded and the screen is slowly pealing away time for a phone upgrade I guess
Hi Great video! I just finished my first s6 glass removal, unfortunately I ran into problem where digitizer on very bottom very space button is in texting ( 1 -2 cm) doesn't work. For example i press space and it inputs V letter on top of it. Did I nick the cable or is there a cheap way to fix it? Thanks!
i put a new digitizer in mine, im sure i didnt glue it so unless some sticky on the new digitizer i should be ok to pull it right off?..

In my opinion, smaller narrations, and speeding the actual video up a bit, would greatly improve your videos. You have one of the better replacement/teardown channels on UA-cam, but the videos are often too long, and you continuously just repeat yourself over and over in the narrations. Love the channel though.
And the TV noise in the background.. lmao..
+Mario Saltalamacchia I have debated speeding up some parts of the video. I feel a lot of videos are misleading on how much time and care it takes to perform repairs. I have made dual videos in the past one condensed and original, maybe I will give this a try again. I normally mute the original track and dub over and have moved to a new program that will ensure no background noise. Anyways I appreciate the feedback.

question. mine is cracked the screen works fine and but it's cracked think it's just my glas. can I order the glass screen and do this with the phone still intact? as in not taking apart plain phone and do the heat gun

It's for technition who wanna change the glass.
In my opinion, I think it's best to first remove the battery and front camera if possible just to be on the safe side. My first repair was an iPhone 6 I heated it up way too much (used a toaster and some tongs) lol and I destroyed the front camera. These two parts should be kept away from high heat, I think this is why they take it all apart to avoid further damage. I learned my lesson thankfully those front cameras are easy to replace and very cheap.

For newbies this looks professional n cool. But there are some ways could do better job. I can tell u this method could damage the display most of time no matter whom doing the job.

No,the display itself is extremely fragile,and you can break it with a needle if you're not careful.
i was able to do it but i pressed to hard just down blow the rear camera wich caused colored line could it be fixed or should i throw it cause there is no one to fix it in my country

i was gonna replace the screen but now that i noticed its actually glued onto the internal one, I will not do it.. i cant see the cracks on the phone screen of the phone when im using it.. so .. i am happy with it the way it is.

Question.. I dropped my S6 Active. The glass has a hairline crack. Nothing really bad. The problem I have is, the screen is completely unresponsive. Would replacing the front glass correct this? Is the glass actually a digitizer or just a cover for what is under it?
+Donald Lemoine since the s6 active uses and an amoled display it should be part of the display and the glass is just a cover.
So replacing just the glass would not likely fix my problem.

If you use a heat plate you can turn it to 95c and that glass will fall off instead of fucking around with those playing cards.

+Best Tuvera You could do that but then putting the Liquid adhesive to bond the new glass will get all over the inside of your phone and ruin it....It will only cure under direct UV light.

Hi all,
I need a bit of Help/advice here.
my touch screen broke and I can't unlock the phone to grab the data from the phone.
I have been told I need a £200 pound touch pad fitted to be able to unlock my phone.
the insurance will replace my phone but won't fix it.
I need all the contacts pictures ect.
my thought was this, i have 2 identical s6's if I remove the back from a working s6 and remove the back from my broken s6 then pull the main board out of both phones and put my main board into the good s6 could I then power up the good s6 and unlock my phone and move the data from it.
then put the original board back into the working phone and re-stick it.
long story short is the hard drive and operating system on the main board so I can swap boards to retrieve my data .
I get my S8 in 2 weeks so I don't want to spend £200 just to retrieve my data.
I have no backup and my s6 don't show up on my Samsung account as I never got round to registering it.
would my idea work.?
if i can do this i wouldn't need to remove the battery or the front of the phone as all the stuff stored on the phone should be on the hard drive and if the hard drive is on the main board i cant see why this wont work, all i need to to gain access to my lock screen so it all shows up on my pc.
i have posted this question on a few vids so sorry if you have read it once or twice but i desperately need to get this sorted as my insurance runs out in 1 month and i really dont need the £200 cost of replacing the touch-pad on my broken phone when i can get a new one on the insurance, i just need the data from it then they can have the broken phone.

what if theglass is cracked but has no image on it. The two bottom buttons turn on and you can feel the vibration but the screen itself doesn't show an image does that mean the lcd screen is damage?

+JayRay00 Yeah i usually wait to test digitizer until it is clean, if the AMOLED is cracked it will rarely show an image which is what I was looking for. If you want to see it work you can check out the LOCA glue video in the desc. Thanks!

with a truly 100% original factory glue you don't play this with 1 million% .. this glass 100% is glue for uv glue the original glue does not dissolve in the warm ... I tried it! not even when the glass had snapped from the heat

If your going to show people how to do a screen repair then you might want to finsh the project first or don't do it at all. You never showed anyone how to take the glue off as a first time person doing the repair themselvs, nor did youo show them how to put the screen on right nor put the the back housing on right and screw it back togeather. This is why i am in business and make thousands of dollars a week because im a perfessional and your not.
