WOW!! NEARLY AT THE MILL! THANK YOU ALL FOR WATCHING AND SUPPORTING THE VIDEOS!
KAZ RODRIGUEZ
You killed it man!
Thank you for what you do, drummed along to your tracks for many hours
Great performance Kaz. Man!!! I subscribed to your UA-cam channel right away.
Man this joint is freaking amazing. Love your drumming brother
You got a subscribe from me 👍
Can we also take a moment to appreciate how good of a loop Nate Werthy(the percussionist) made for him to solo over
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I bet Kaz wrote it :P
That loop is sick!!!!
He kept that pocket right in there!!
Yesss!!!!
FACTS!!! He was sooooo locked in it was ridiculous! After 5:45 the loop stood out more than everything else in my opinion..... even against the solo, which I actually didn't like too much. But the song itself as a whole is awesome!
The composition itself is an absolute masterpiece.
Yes!!! I agree. Complete Masterpiece in every sense
Indeed and I love how it comes back to the starting theme.
I couldn't agree more. I keep coming back for this. Haha
codemasterz yes
Thumbs up to everyone
You already know we on this after watching Larnell
Martin hahaha lol
They gotta know this, he set the stage for the rest of these g's!
Not quite the same though is it. Larnell set the bar pretty effing high!
Craig Redhead lol facts! Really high!! But Kaz did his thang same way though. Larnell is a different kat man...#TorontoStandUp!
You're right on that one. Brilliant. Also reminds me of Vic Firth concert with Devon Taylor. Great vibes; great set x
Tempo : 100
Intro pattern : 5/4
Afterwards : 7/4 x2 - 6/4 - 5/4
+ instrinsic rhythms... it's not easy task !!! ;)
You have a trascription?
Thanks
I’ll be damned if I couldn’t figure out the time signatures man. Thanks
tq bro...im thinking about the intro number
Im doing the transcription right now)
(it's not 100 though. The tempo is somewhere between 102 and 103, so they probably recorded it without metronome)
probably the most musical tune I've heard in a while......
Yessir Bro!!
Kenyon Sanders Agreed 100%. Not sure there’s a better composition, groove, dynamic progression out there anywhere.
Well said man ✌
So do I
ua-cam.com/video/ikEFcbO4jvM/v-deo.html
That guy on the synth is killing it. The band is amazing
They are currently on tour!
The first synth solo is Xavier. Played with Prince and plays regularly with ToTo.
Bro you know what chord he hit at 6:27 ?
@@kinguzi2228 FEb/ADGbA (So an F13b9)
Akil Henry bro I love you ❗️❗️🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
DAMN, little Baby Boy Drummer got to sit in on a Zildjian Live performance too... that lucky little guy has it made!
Isn't that Aaron Spears holding him? Pretty sure he's well on his way already.
Its just crazy to see that through social media input and the right learning strategies that little guy starts to grow immensly... now he has the opportunities to absorb all that playing and be formed into a formidable world class drummer! Wish I was young again haha
He has to preform here or else..... or else.
Christian Baumgartner like every drummer is like big uncles to that kid!!
Zildjian has Baby Boy Drummer!!! another young legend musician in the Making furshure!!
Where can buy for download this song?? Please please
I'd like to add that Nate Werth is the most underrated percussionist in history. He's a secret weapon.
Dude is drumming while wearing Timberlands! That's amazing!
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
And a big ass watch
They're tims 😅😃✅
So far this is the best series anyone has put out yet. Larnell was astounding. (Like I watched it about 20 times in a row through tears of joy and jealousy) Kaz was fantastic. The rest of the lineup is amazing. Having Ghost Note as the backing band is just icing all of the cake. I can't wait to see the rest. Thank you so much Zildjian for facilitating this.
Anything that reminds me of Snarky Puppy works for me!
So true ❤️❤️❤️ This track got kind of Snarky Puppy vibe 🔥
they all got it from those 70's jazz rock fusion bands though when drummers like billy cobham, tony williams, narada michael walden, lenny white, harvey mason, gerry brown, alphonse mouzon, etc. ruled the drum scene!
great storytelling through music. i loved larnell's performance, but man this song gave me goosebumps and brought me into a dreamlike state. it was like watching an epic adventure movie
Larnell's and TP's smash this...even Tony was like...this is eh.
Larnell's solo my personal fav but this soundtrack! 🔥🔥🔥
Joshua Kwao crazy
The build up to the solo. Awesome storytelling as well 👌🏾
I like the build up to the solo MORE than the solo itself! The percussionist made that pocket Soooooo deep! 🔥🔥🔥
That melody is haunting!
Totally thinking the same thing!
Kind of Mozart New age for me 😉
In such a beautiful way...calming yet you can feel something is brewing
Well, the band is called Ghost Note...
@@art5 With the song titled "Rain", this description is one I can really get behind for this piece.
Just started crying in my car listening to this
I love how at 7:12 @Larnell Lewis was so focused hahahaha I died!
Van Avakian Yo, yes!! 😂😂😂
Yessssss 😂 😂Mad respect ✊
lmaooo locked in 😂😂😂
@@SeanSentDaBeat I appreciate you, my brother! You and Larnell are my biggest inspirations!
Sean Wright 😂😂😂
that synth 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
Ryan Arvin Capote had me screaming
This is the most sophisticated musical masterpiece ever. Kaz is an absolute genius
I bow to the composer of this track as well as Kaz Rodriguez 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🔥🔥🔥
5:12 ... I‘m at a loss for words
I am impressed. Kaz is a great composer and drummer. Arrangement, performance, band is very cool. Watch again and again! Thank!
It's dope to see Spears, Pridgen, Royster Jr., and other drummers there showing support
This might be the best song overall in the whole series. Well done!
I’m sitting here on Mother’s Day 2021 missing my mom, and needed this uplifting composition. Thank you 🙏🏽 for taking the pain away for a moment in time. Great job... 🙏🏽👍🏽
I hope youre doing well, stranger. I wish you strength and all the best.
That synth solo @2:36 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Such incredible musicians! This is giving me the chills like Snarky Puppy's Lingus video.
This song has something special, something that makes me smile and makes me cry at the same time. I just needed to hear something like this. I don't know why tears came into my eyes, but I felt my soul was touched by something deep and precious, Thank you so much for sharing this, and congratulations for this magic song. 🙌
And the song is composed by Kaz... Amazing
Kaz’s discipline at the end shows he’s level of drumming from the first to the last bar I would’ve gone crazy and how great of a musician drummer he is
Mono is a beast but Kaz is a monster
I wish I had all the zildjian live songs to be drumless!! The meter changes and the musicality!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 🔥 🔥 🔥!!
What an amazing composition! It moves me to tears..
Kaz is an exceptional drummer..
I'm listening it for my morning routine 🔥🔥🔥❤️ anybody else?
Kaz creativity and Sput arrangement 💪
awesome band! awesome music!
Kaz, please continue to play from your HEART and not through MAN! Much respect and love....
If this theme were a script for a movie, surely KAZ would be the director along with Roberth Sput, who was fantastic in this interpretation, this percussionist is also wonderful. Mas Merits to Kazz Extremely impeccable drummer, disciplined and an excellent storyteller through music🎧🥁🎼🔥❤️
I confess that I was looking forward to this video, I'm a Kaz fan, congratulations to Zildjian.
This is my fave Ghost Note arrangement so far. Hands down. It's exquisite.
Another fave drummer 😉👊👊👊 Yeah 👊👊👊😁
Ein sehr einfühlsamen Schlagzeuger. Gefällt mir sehr gut 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 Vielen Dank und liebe Grüße aus Koblenz Christoph 👋 👋 👋 👋 👋
KAZ!!!!!!! So proud of this guy !!! UK repping !! So many powerhouses in that room !! So much talent and they're there for the love of music !!! Love it !!
Was going through a lot when I first watched this video & Xavier's solo brought pure tears to my eyes. Beautiful composition...
Beautiful 😍
I cried watching this last night. The composition is beautiful and the performance was executed with groove and precision. The melodies just moved me so much I had to shed a tear. Absolutely 11/10 experience. First time watching time actually slowed down so I could take it all in, haven't had that happen to me in years...
Song makes me get watery eyes almost everytime
What a magnificent piece of work!!! Can't stop watching again and again!
Majestic, stunning performance.
ONE OF THE BEST JAMS, IMO. The composition is a masterpiece and Ghost Note nailed it!! Brilliant!!! (honorable mentions to Mono Neon and Nate Werth!)
His name is Nate Werth
2:37 that synth😭😭😭
Zildjian Company, thank you very much, i hope this sets a trend in the music industry.
I looked at the viedo with a big smile on my face until I saw Aaron Spears with this little boy in his arms... I still can't get over his passing.
I really enjoy the way this composition unfolds. Possibly my favorite performance in this series.
PATIENCE. I learned a new level of it from Kaz. 🙌🏻🙏🏻
That pocket at 1:38 did it for me!!!
Watching Kaz hear / play promos for the first time brought me here. This was excellent!
Can’t stop watching this ! Love not only the drumming but the composition !!!
one of the best instrumentals I've ever heard. I get goosebumps at the synth solo it sounds like a soul crying out
Tony Royster at the corner staring at you while drumming.
Imagine that is quite intimidating.
*edited**
hell yeah a lot of awesome and more drummers coming up to this series can't wait to see them all!
Although he was very expressionless. Not sure how to take that. Did he enjoy it, did he blank out and the camera caught him as he was trying to remember if he closed the garage, was he bored or was he mildly impressed?
Also there was Aaron spears and Thomas pridgen next to each other and prolly a lot more drummers and other drummers who have a performance in this live jam series since it was all filmed on the same day I believe.
Andy Ham
This music had me sitting there dumbfounded at times too, those off beat synchronized patterns through out the whole
Piece were really mesmerizing to listen too, maybe it’s just me, but this piece is so clean and pleasing to the ear while also being technically amazing on a lot of levels. Very cool
me , being Tony's biggest fan, I'd shit on my pants if he would see me play.
The whole audience was drummer pals
Please, please get Gavin Harrison on Season 2!
The structure of his playing throughout the piece is just perfect. There’s a constant build and he finally gives us his all at the end👌🏻
sometimes they say: a good drummer makes a good band, or every good band needs a good drummer.........THIS band (Ghost Note) has SOOOO MANY good drummers, it's ridiculous ...... ;-))
Best band in the world then
reallyreallyreallyreally great job, smooth and nice playing to support the band, tasteful powerful building of the solo with immense explosive highpoint......... nice composition , fine musicality ........... and greetings to LJ as well...!
I think if I listen to too many more of these sessions I will break my STANK face... Way to go Kaz!!
That was AWESOME. Just gets better and better. Loving these Zildjian Live performances. NEXT PLEASE!!
I read that some people didn't like his solo. Now, I respect that you have your own personal taste, I get it, but I feel that if you look past the technique and look at the actual meaning of this song, it could potentially change your view.
This right here is a song of triumph over grief, darkness, and loss. The beginning is pretty dark and sounds like the soundtrack to a villain getting his way, feeling victorious. As the song progresses, our main character gets his strength back over time, until the solo comes and he finally bursts from his shackles and freely expresses himself, thus destroying the darkness that tried to hold him down.
That's just my interpretation, but if you look deeper than just the surface, you can appreciate this arrangement a lot more. What does this song mean to you? Is this the soundtrack to your life? Have you overcome or are you overcoming a burden?
Proud of you dear brother. Glad to say that I know this man and had the opportunity to jam at his studio a few times in London. Gem of a guy.
One of my fav drummers . And great music compose !!!!!
Yeah this drummers musicality is amazing. On top of an incredible song and phenomenal musicians throughout the band
@@christinehammons4467 100% agreed
I love the fact that this man uses powerstroke 4 clears on his toms. The secret weapon to making your toms sound huge is using those on the top and then remo diplomats on the bottom since they have a super thin single ply. It makes the head resonate more. with those on the bottom and the PS4C's on the top you get that super huge sound but you can tune it to control it without it sounding overly boomy.
Tony's like I see it all in slow motion
Lol word up I thought that was him
Amazing Drum Sesion !! Very Groove !! Master Kaz Rodriguez !!!
He gave ' snapped ' a whole new meaning at 6:58. Mr Rodriguez went OFF !
Syncopated rhythms aren't the easiest to play by any stretch of the imagination, especially when there are counter rhythms being played in contrast to the main rhythm. Keeping time and knowing where you are is crucial. One miscount, hitting a note too early or too late, will possibly cause a train wreck and ultimately a break down in the song and the show. However, I have seen some damn good musician recover from timing errors and find their way back to the main rhythm with no issues and keep playing like nothing ever happened. This dude Kaz is a true beast with this syncopated playing. This was AWESOME!!!!
This was refreshing and inspiring and so many levels. Also Composed beautifully and an absolute masterpiece.
Outstanding!!!!
His musicality is sooooo good 🔥🔥🔥❤️
This song has so many beautiful dynamics...Kaz is KILLING IT...and the whole Ghost Note band. That groove they had going on during the solo...I was FEELING that. Zildjian once again NAILING it!
What an amazing piece. The melody and the arrangement is incredible. I wish I could listen this on spotify. Congrats to Kaz Rodriquez and Ghost-Note Band
LARNELL LEWIS @7:12 had me DYINGG😂😂. You KNOW he wanted a piece of that shed!!! 💀💀😂
Legit my favorite song right now, can't even put it on a playlist, just keep searching it up
Listening back on this, I think it's one of the best composed songs of the series. This, larnell, Thomas pridgen, and Gergo borlai were the best ones imo
I think your opinion is valid… although I don’t think there were ANY “worse” performances!
@ definitely not, everybody killed their respective songs!
So much legends in this room tony royster Thomas pridgen kaz rodriguez aaron spears damn
I needed that in my life.
This music was absolutely amazing!
I get chills each and every time i listen to this piece. Just a musical masterpiece.
Love this arrangement!!! Can’t stop listening to it! Kaz crushed it!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
listened to 500 times already. magic!!!
This is some of the best, most insane, and musical drumming I have ever heard.
Mono anchored this so gracefully. What a magnificent movement of music. That build nearly made me well up.
Kaz’s style remind anyone else of Tigran Hamasyan?
Jason Obuobisa totally
I'm so pleased I've found this series.
Amazing piece..amazing drumming. - really enjoyed that.
Kaz is so slept on as a musician he’s so different and I’m a big fan💙 he has such a great flow. He’s different and I love it👍🏾
Snoop dog on the bass🤘🏻
