    Hi To-Tech, your steps were close enough for me to get into my 2009 CC trunk. I had to replace that poorly designed trunk wiring harness. (At least it lasted ALMOST 10 years. But it was still $100 and several hours of my time I'd rather have spent somewhere else.)

      Excellent - glad to hear it got you through! Yes, repairs on cars can allow be a kick in the wallet! But hey, yes you had to pay for the part, but at least you didn't have to pay someone £50/$50++ per hour to fix it for you. Result!

      Yes, this is something that we will be covering in the future for sure. Removing the wings (fenders) on the B6/B7 is actually a very involved job as there are a lot of fixings and you have to remove a lot of stuff to gain access to the fixings. Not the nicest job!

      Hey there! Yes, indeed you can access the rear of the number plate light/boot handle panel once this panel is out of the way.
      We actually already did a video for the removal of that panel which you may find useful:

    The issue I have with my 04 A4 Cabriolet 3.0 is that there is an emergency pull handle on the interior of the boot and the video here doesn't have that emergency pull. I can get everything loose on the liner, except for the handle location and I don't want to just rip it out. Is there another video you can refer me to?

    • @TotalTechnik
      @TotalTechnik  6 років тому

      Hey there! Unfortunately not in this case as the one we had (like you said) did not have this feature. I can't recall offhand the procedure on the emergency release, but it should not be too complex. Have a good look around and inside the handle and hopefully you can male some sense of it.
      If we get another with the emergency release handle we'll film a version for that was well. I've made a note for the future, but of course not too useful for you as could be a while. But best of luck!

    • @arctics4

      Excellent videos!
      I also had to deal with the emergency release. There is a black screw behind the handle, same as the opposite side pull handle in the video. To get to it, the handle pops out of a ball socket, and then you have to pop the cover off the handle (the glow in the dark piece) to disengage the cable. I’d highly recommend keeping the bottom of panel still clipped-in prior to this step.

    My A4 b6 has a trunk spoiler, do you know if it is posible to remove?

    • @TotalTechnik
      @TotalTechnik  6 років тому

      Yes, on the B6 they can be removed. However, it is not easy to do because they are secured in place with VERY strong double sided tape, as well as a few bolts meaning you need to strip out the boot panel (we have done a video on this part already).
      But yes, absolutely can be done.

      Ours is a modular system. Otherwise we have to edit the exact same content several times into numerous videos - which is needless, time consuming and impractical (unfortunately!!) So we've done it in a modular way so people can pull out the steps they are not familar with. When you're looking at producing hundreds of videos this is the only practical way to do it.
