      Re: the traffic in Baguio (or elsewhere in PH), I think you cannot really solve it (unless Filipinos embrace the practical aspects of mass transits like trains and bicycles)
      I've always regarded Baguio as the Amsterdam of the Philippines without the bicycles. Here are some reasons why traffic is persistent.
      1. Filipinos are car-loving people but Filipinos were sold to the concept of cars because car manufacturers have powerful marketing campaigns to keep it that way. They get away with it because they lobby to make this possible to PH government officials.
      2. Filipinos can't stand to have any space empty. An empty wall will not stay empty in a Filipino's home. It will be filled out. It's almost like we really embrace the 16th and 17th Baroque period where every little space has to have a purpose. It's in total contrast to Scandinavian minimalism which is kind of ironic that Filipinos have the largest IKEA store. Maybe Pinoys can learn a thing or two about minimalism. I remember talking to a Pinoy why he goes to Times Square when he already lives in NY. He said it makes him feel less lonely. While New Yorkers will not be caught going there because there's just too many people. One time I was also in Auckland NZ I met two Filipinos on the street and one cried saying they were lonely in NZ because there's no store like Megamall. They miss the crowd of people.
      3. The interest to have large homes even when there's limited space is very Pinoy. One can see it in many of the walk-through video shows of real estate companies. They focus on presenting the big homes whereas the Japanese like to showcase their sensibly sized homes for all.
      4. Unlike the US where a mall could be zoned away from the busy areas, PH malls are in the busiest areas, thus the gridlock.
      5. Filipinos don't mind buying big jeep vehicles like Ford Explorer etc. Very much in contrast to the thinking of Italians and French who own tiny cars like the Fiat etc.
      6. I went to Stanford University years ago and there was no visible cars inside the campus. Just college students in their bicycles. Filipinos don't like it quiet. Ther has to be music everywhere or noise or the busyness of the city. A japanese vlogger pointed out how he was surprised by the noise pollution in PH.
      I wished Baguio was like Amsterdam or Stanford U where people are ok with bicycles on top of a good train system, but that will not happen for the reasons stated above. Tourism is more important than the rights of residents.

    Baguio is just a small city compared to other major cities in the Philippines like Cebu, Davao, Cagayan De Oro and Iloilo.

Pag 6pm, tumitigil kami parA magdasal NG Angelus at batiin ang mata I mo NG good evening. English speaking po kami..hi hi hi..naglalaro ako SA grounds NG Pines hotel., nag eeskating ako SA Burnham. Araw araw free view ko SA Cathedral. Inaakyat ko yon 100 steps NG session rd punta Girls high school ko noon…wow, those were the days of my childhood till college ,SLU.

I think the name is Aroo something like that..SA town proper, kita mo jolibee..may iskinita papasok 100meters..native foods po. Tables nila ay antique sewing machines. Ang lagayan NG bills ay antique plansa de uling. Again, just my UNSOLICITED OPINION PO

      @dennis12dec Рік тому

      June to August is the lean season were prices are lower and least crowded but be sure to pack an umbrella and raingear as you experience Baguio in the rainy season. I bravely survived several typhoons on my past visits to Baguio and in the words of legendary Scottish comedian Sir Billy Connolly would say "There's no such thing as Bad Weather - only the wrong clothes. Get yourself a sexy raincoat and live a little"😅. It's better to commute to Baguio by bus than bringing your car as Baguio traffic 🚦 is so heavily congested

    300k plus lang population ng Baguio...yong space at size lang Kasi ng Baguio maliit lang kaya sabi ng iba matraffic. Tsaka iisa lang mall dyan eh. Session Road lang naman tambayan dyan eh ...Malayo pa po yan sa ibang big cities sa Pilipinas. Kahit Cagayan De Oro mas marami pa tao kaysa Baguio

    Oh my gosh. I don't speak Tagalog, but I can see that traffic is a pain. If you would consider doing videos in English, that would be great. I have found that many Filipino UA-camrs will speak Tagalog mixed with some English, but not in a fluent English translation. In case you would be interested, I think there is an audience for that - for English-speaking people who don't also speak Talalog.
