    Maybe no one will believe me now, OG 43 and 44 were invented and designed by the uncle of my grandfather, Giovanni Oliani (OG). After two generation I bear his very name lol. My family also has a piece of both the rifles.

    from 1917-1945 the italian army mostly invested in Submachine guns because they thought that the next world war would be fast-paced,and they were right :)

    Great video but the Beretta 34 is not rare weapons :) , in this video the Beretta 1919 is a Beretta 1917 (WW1), the Glisenti was produced in 1910 but Brixia was produced in 1913 (Regia Marina Italiana). Sorry for my english, however I have subscribed to your channel. Wonderful !!!!

    Yea, always thought Italy as a country that jumped in too soon. Its equipment was always 1 year behind. It Had its golden flowers like g55 fiat, mc 202 , berretta FAB Smg, semovonte 75/46 and 105/25. The p 40 was average but came too late, if they were available early 42 they might have done some real good, same the m13/42 if its was available early 41. Model 42 and 44 Beretta smg should have been made early so they could have been mass produced too save resources unlike the expensive but very good 38 model. Italians were always lacking good Anti tank tho, and without HEAT round they would be fucked, couldn't Italian industry design the 75/46mm AA gun with a mobile Gun shield and chassis like a Pak 40???? The Italians were just about to convert too the more powerful 7.35×51mm Carcano instead of the weak 6.5 and mass produce semi auto rifles but Italy couldn't wait for it. Soo sad

    ma perche' queste armi non sono mai state utilizzate ampiamente sul campo di battaglia?

    • @CaptainGrief66
      @CaptainGrief66 8 років тому

      Magari dovresti chiederglielo in iglese .-.
      Comunque-
      Molto probabilmente perchè ''troppo nuove'' e troppo differenti, rivolizionarie rispetto alle armi già in servizio e questo creava un'aura di scetticismo, ed anche perchè troppo complesse e\o costose da produrre o troppo fragili da usare sul campo
      -spero d'essere stato d'aiuto.
