Jean Hello, Thank you for this very interesting presentation of the PANTHER finish for these BAM cases. The right question is "how to clean, maintain this rubber finish??" Can rubber dry out and crack due to bad weather and the sun? You have to be careful about the products you use! What product do you recommend so as not to damage it? Thank you for your advice. Jeans
Great question. Rubber is much easier to take care of. Simply wipe it with a wet cloth. It doesn't crack due to weather. Think of car tires. Rubber is a very resistant material. And it's a layer over the Hightech shells. So you still get the strength and protection of the Hightech shells.
Technically, no. The violin bow itself exceeds the total length allowed by carry-on luggage. Which is why Bam created the cabin violin cases specifically designed for air travel (the case itself is within carry-on dimensions, and the bow goes in a bow-tube that can be checked in). However, the vast majority of major airlines will accept this contoured case as carry-on luggage. Just say you have a valuable wooden instrument that can't go under the plane. The cabin case was designed mostly for budget airlines in Europe.that are very strict with carry-on dimensions.
There is. Bam has a back cushion designed for the Hightech contoured cases: greatviolincases.com/collections/accessories/products/bam-back-cushion-for-hightech-contoured-with-pocket-1 As of now, it's the best option for these cases. Though we have received comments that the D-rings get a little tight holding straps and backpack cushion straps. But 99% of contoured cases don't even have the option for sheet music pouches.
Hello. What is the difference between the surface of the BAM Panther Hightech and the BAM Supreme Hightech? Are they both (in addition to scratch resistant) do not pick up paint as well? The regular BAM Hightech cases pick up paint (from leaning against the walls) like magnet and is very difficult to remove.
Hi Sinbat! Panther case has a rubber layer, think of the surface of a dodgeball. Supreme is polycarbonate, it is hard surface. They both do not have the extra glossy layer you find on the Hightech cases. Whether it picks up paint, Panther probably wouldn’t. Again, the surface is like a dodgeball. We haven’t tested the Supreme yet if it would pick up paint, but I imagine it won’t be like the Hightech case, since it doesn’t have that extra glossy layer. We hope this helps! 😊
I love this case so much! It's my go-to travel case. Everything I love about my old Bam Hightech with much better scratch resistance.

Yes you should :)
Can you take this as a hand luggage on a plane for holidays? I don't want to check-in the violin. I prefer it travels with me.

Hello! Is there a sheet music pouch that fits this case?
