Wrong info. Yercaud express was inaugurated in 1975. Earlier it was MAS to Salem. Later extended to Erode. About numbering this train replaced Palakkad MAS parcel passenger. It got the number from that train. In 1989 when it had the number 6069/6070 it was in Madras Division. When it got the number 66669/6670 it was under palakad division. In 2008 when SA division was formed it was retained with Palakkad division number.
Sorry it's Running from Steam engine Era which is 1969 and it's inaugrated before 1970 sir all the information is officially from the IRFCA it's not given by me Thank you

My family members have traveled in 69/70 as parcel passenger, 69/70 as Yercaud express and 5/6 Nilagiri express when it had stopping at Sangagiri Durg(SGE). 2025 is the golden Jubilee year for Yercaud express.
