Great to see these, or any limited production bikes getting really ridden instead wasting away in some speculators living room. Thumbs up to you for saving this one and sharing
If i would ever buy myself a BMW sportbike it would be the HP2. It 's a beautiful Bike, it's a Boxer engine, and even a kardan ( don't know, what is the English word for it). But they are expensive... Greetings from Ostfriesland, Germany -O
Great vids. I love my boxer, but watching your Streetfighter run back to back with the HP2 run I still think you should keep the Streetfighter (especially for the track days) and your Racer for boxer joy on the roads. The HP is "different", but will it ever dial in to where you prefer it to the Streetfighter for the track? Meanwhile the Streetfighter is great on roads but soooooo under utilized really....whereas the Racer on roads actually Feels like it's being "properly ridden" at MOSTLY legal speeds ;). I find it true that it's more fun to ride a slower bike quickly than a fast bike slow....The HP2 on the road seems "close enough" to the Racer (judging only from your vids of course haha) that the Racer's personal modding benefits seem to give it the edge. I honestly think the Racer is more handsome than the HP for my taste... Unless you're planning to keep BOTH the Racer and the HP2...in which case carry on enjoying and twisting those throttles :D
These days you can find the R1250RS as the most similar BMW motorcycle, still with boxer engine . The S1000R can be an option but I don’t consider it a superbike...
great. I love this series of videos. The commentary is spot on. You lucky chap. Those mobile home trailers are amazing.

Was the forks bottoming out under heavy braking?
What was wrong with the brakes? I think I moight have the same issue with my r1200s brakes..
I wouldn't think you can lean that one too hard. That engine sticks out sooo far.
Thanks 🙏 been waiting for this! I don’t think you mentioned the engine temperature, did it get hot? 🇬🇧🏍
@@CaliMotoTV so that’s 107 Celsius so yea not 🥵 especially considering your ambient temperature 🇬🇧🏍
Subscribed. Also own a bone stock 2010.
Great👍🏍
What is BMW 2020 closest to this w/boxer old style opposed cylinders

Well you've got R1250R, or R nineT...
just buy an older R1200s , it will do most of the same stuff , but you do need to '' learn'' how to ride one , they are different.
