Lived in Springfield for 30 years and moved to republic in 2017 and wished i would have made that move sooner! Enjoyed the republic community! But had to move in 2022 back home to ohio , one con in springfield are the wages i held down two jobs with being married and was shocked when getting here how i was being offered 4 dollars plus more than what i was working for in Springfield on a University Campus!
I was never a fan of Springfield itself and the crime rate per capita compared to St louis is top five!

I appreciate your honest and informative video. My family is moving to Missouri and my wife and I are considering joining them.
I would like to point out that the sound effects you are using in this particular video are very distracting and a bit annoying.

So I've been looking at property online for the Springfield and surrounding areas. What area in SF is the "hood" so to speak? The area to avoid?

As a licensed realtor I am not allowed to speak on this. However, you can call a local police department and ask for crime rates on areas and also look up a crime rate map - that is public information. However, I can point out some of the most sought after areas due to their stellar school ratings, new stores, entertainment, etc. I would love to help. My phone number is 916-347-8735. :)

Springfield has pockets of bad areas in all directions. The south side is better. The homelessness and poverty is pretty bad. You'd be better trying nixa mo.

Well back in the day it used to be a place called the Holler. However, now it's better to point out the better places to live in the area. In Springfield mostly far south or southeast. There are surrounding school districts that are probably a better indicator of how the community is doing.

You would definitely be better off with anything on the South side.

The south side and the East side are your better choices the Westside is not safe a lot of drugs and homeless people houses are not the best unless you go towards Republic in the outskirts.

Hi fellow Springfieldian! I also have a channel. My husband was from Des Moines and thought it was weird everyone waving. 🤣

Native Springfieldian. Born here. Have lived in other towns. Springfield’s OK. There are better and worse places. A big negative is the Assembly of God Church's leadership. If you aren't up to being vigilant those folks will force everyone to live according to their very narrow, very backwards views. If you move here you should be aware there's religious cults to deal with.

Taxes are way too high in California crime is high in California I guess that's why a lot of people are moving out of California

California's excessive liberal politics have doomed California. And now the people fleeing are bringing those stupid politics to other states, with predictable results.

It's a great place... if you like living in a bifracated city. All services are focused on the south side while the north side are all but abandonned. What u will get is a total failure of a police dept., a non functional animal control, high petty crime, the homeless and squatters stealing everything not nailed done (and some things which are, if they are worth stealing), and poor quality infrastructure.
And don't get me started on finding quality contractors.
Springfield is basically a medium-sized town, wishing for growth but adverse to change of any kind.

Thank you for your feedback, this is true but also no place is perfect. For some, this might be a major upgrade depending on their current life circumstances. I would love to connect and help. I also have a few reputable contractor referrals if you ever need them again.

Low cost of living equals low pay.
You will not have a good paycheck here.

    • @cottoncandiez8872
      @cottoncandiez8872 18 днів тому

Disagree to an extent. Low pay but you can afford everything so it evens out. Even just a quick glance on indeed shows jobs ranging from $14-18 which is good for Missouri
